Default Atlantafalcons.com cheat sheet for the game

Falcons Cheat Sheet
Quote:
atlantafalcons.com gives you a falcons education for all levels of knowledge.

• the all-time series between the falcons
and the texans is tied at 1-1. The last game
between the two teams was a 26-16 falcons
win in 2007.

• texans dc wade phillips held the same
position with the falcons from 2002-2003
and served as the interim hc for the final
three games of the ’03 season.

• houston’s quarterbacks coach greg knapp
coached texans qb matt schaub while both
were in atlanta from 2004-2006.

• falcons cb dunta robinson was the firstround
selection of the texans in 2004 and
spent six seasons with the franchise.

• atlanta og garrett reynolds blocked for
texans qb t.j. Yates while the two played at
the university of north carolina.

• the texans are the second team the falcons
have faced this season whose rb and te lead
the team in receiving. Houston’s te owen
daniels and rb arian foster lead the franchise
in receiving. The saints were the other team.

• houston is the third straight team the
falcons have faced that use a rookie qb. Of
the team’s 13 2011 opponents, five teams will
use rookie qbs.

• head coach mike smith is 2-0 in his career
against the afc south.

• starting lt will svitek seeks his sixth
straight game not allowing a sack. Texans olb
brooks reed seeks his sixth consecutive game
with a sack.

• houston is the only team in the nfl with
two rbs with at least 700 yards.

• with a rookie qb making his first start, the
texans will want to run the ball. It will be a
showdown on the ground. Houston is third in
the nfl in rushing per game and the falcons’
run defense is ranked second.

• atlanta’s offense is ranked third in the nfl
in possession time and houston’s defense
is ranked first in limiting opponent’s time of
possession. The falcons will have to make
use of every of possession, including finding
points in the redzone, something they did at a
75 percent rate last week.

• the falcons have improved their protection
as the season has gone on, moving up to 14th,
allowing 22 sacks this year. They’ll need to
continue to protect the qb against houston,
tied for second in the nfl with 35 sacks.

• matt ryan will want to look deep against
houston’s defense a few times. The texans
will at times blitz five or six players, leaving
the deep secondary prone to a big play. Roddy
white and julio jones will be key in this
department.

Nearly 40% of the teams you face in one season have rookie starting QBs -- now that's a key to success!

he is among the more petulant coaches I've seen and throws some of the best tantrums in the NFL - and I don't know that there's a coach whose face gets redder

I hope y'all give him lots of reasons to do this on the sidelines tomorrow:

Since his hair is already gray, I hope we make it fall out. A bald headed red faced man is funny to look at and hard to take seriously.
