Did the Vikings ever get sold?

There were reports that red mccombs was selling the vikings to a man named fowler out of arizona. Does anyone know if that deal was finalized?

Please no more domed stadiums. football was meant to be played OUTSIDE. The vikings are so losing a good home field advantage playing inside.

That's a serious team in transition if the sale has not been finalized however. Do they think it will get done during the season?

It takes several months to be vetted by the NFL's various departments. Bottom line, Fowler does not have the cash to buy the team with a minimum 30% personal stake of his own UNLESS he sells off one of his businesses. He is not liquid enough until he does so. He put the company on the market as soon as the announcement was made, but you just don't sell a $150million company in a few months.

My personal take is the NFL will run out of patience by the middle of June. If it is not done by then, the deal will sour, and Glen Taylor will step back in with his $600 million offer that was passed up by McCombs.

The NFL and Fowler have repeatedly said over the past few weeks that this would be done mid-May. So it ain't late until then.
