Hey guys,
I was just wondering. Over the years I have built kind of a mini-texans shrine. It is something you see quite a bit in the military. I always see people with these mini-helmets signed but they almost never bought them. Does anyone have any ideas about how I could get one (my son got me one for my birthday) signed? I'm trying to compete here... we have a browns fan that has like 4 things signed. Everyone always has cool stories about how they got theirs signed. Am I in the wrong place at the wrong time? I've got a few cool things (Inagural season Coke can and a bottle, for example). Any suggestions? Mike

If I remember - you do not live in Houston, that's a huge part of it.
Every Tuesday after a home game Reliant has a player in the Go Texans store, like 5-7 I think, this week is Troy Nolan. Also after home games, there is the Whattaburger player of the month (ok, maybe just once a month then?) at various retail locations (it is on the Texans home page some where). Every Tuesday Sports Radio 610 does a remote from a different Verizon location with players on site 8-9, unless of course K-Jax shows up 45 minutes late. Today was Quinn and K-Jax. Tuesdays at rotating Hooters Eric Winston is in person doing 610 on air, like 4-6. Tuesday evenings James Casey (some times with guests) is at some where with 610 (maybe also Hooters?). There are also some times players at HEB or Academy, you usually luck into hearing about those. |

Is it ever possible to get the big names? AJ, Schaub, Mario, Cush, etc?

Your best bet is to come to the practices before the season. And there is always the All-Access event that's for season ticket holders.

Practices have become a cluster - unless you arrive 2-3 hours before the gates open, you're not getting a bracelet - and you don't know who is signing until they sit down after practice. All Access if usually a good event for autographs.

Yes - luck/skill (for example, lining up at a table at all access before the player sits down and it happens to be #80) or showing up HOURS before an event - the 610/Verizon AJ appearance 2008ish I got there at 6 AM for an 8-9 signing and I was one of the last people to get an autograph.

Let me clarify... I do not recommend trying to get a wristband and standing in line. I am referring to standing in the walkway as the players exit practice. Many players will sign hundreds of autographs as they exit. Kris Brown exemplified this example. Its a great way to randomly catch a player. And you will catch several of them.

Or have someone like me telling you to stay in the line because a little birdie gave me some inside information?

If you mail it to the Texans facilty to a specific player, and have the return postage/package with a pen included, how could they not sign it?

1. Buy mini-helmet.
2. Have sex change operation, huge breast implants, wear miniskirt, wait in line, wink at player repeatdly, it's not worth it...

Have you done this before? That is what I was asking. Sorry if it was unclear.
