Sounds like some insecure older fans in here
Maybe us young fans need to go through our growing period before we can become as football savy as the rest of you.

If by "insecure" you mean "intelligent football fans", then yes.

You see, some of us go to games to, you know, actually watch the game and not watch what other fans are doing. As a matter of fact, some of us geezers used to go to games before there was a GameDay Experience, 3D souvenir cups, tailgating, and a dude dressed in a bull costume. ahhh, those were ancient times, when a team was actually expected to win in order to sell out a stadium.

You will never be as football savvy as us.

You're too damned young and however much older you get, you'll still be younger than us.

Hell. You can't even spell 'savvy' right. WHAT'S WRONG WITH YOU!?

I haven't read the entire thread (if you can believe that), so this may have already been covered. But what if two waves were originated in opposite directions? What would happen we these irresitable forces collided on the opposite side of the field? An explosion? An implosion? A confused yawn? Inquiring minds want to know.

I haven't read this this entire thread either, and I wouldn't if you paid me. But the way I see it, if you're taking part in the wave, then you're not watching the game. And if you don't want to watch the game, you should give your seat/ticket up to somebody who wants to.

You don't see other teams fans doing this nonsense when the offense is on the field. If you haven't been there before, at least try to act like it.

Its not that the people doing the wave weren't watching the game... They were just being distracting to our offense on the field while having a little fun haha. But anyways, I don't agree with "the wave" while our offense is on the field but considering the Texans pretty much had the game in their back pocket... I really don't think its that big of a deal.

If they can't concentrate with the wave going on, how in the world will they ever survive in opposing stadiums?

It was loud, but not LOUD. There no reason it should have been an issue for our Offense. Scapegoating the fans for something that lasted (at most) 4 minutes is nuts.

Key to beating the Texans:

Have the fans do the wave. Apparently some of our offensive players and coaching staff find it very distracting.

=========

Great thread. I wonder if it can reach "Orlando Pace visits the Texans" proportions? Probably not, since it isn't in the off-season and it will be overtaken by more current events soon.

My thoughts exactly. Why is everyone up in arms over this? Who cares? I get that we need to be quiet on offense (duh) and I always am, but how does that really affect the offense, the answer is: it shouldn't. We still have 8 road games a year right?

Wait, wait, wait a minute. I can deal with 2D cups, but no bull mascot?

You forgot the best part, which is the football hiding in one of 3 helmets. Now that is fun.

I can't listen to it at work, so I have no idea what he said in context. But based on the post, I'm just going with what I've got. And if he called out the fans for cheering too much, then wow, lame move on Schaub's part. Right or wrong, when a player calls out the fans.... not a smart move.

Bite the hand that feeds you and everything..
