Default Brock Osweiler?

I have been watching alot of ASU games this year. I have been very impressed with Brock. He is a big kid with a rocket for an arm. His delivery is kind of funky ala Phillip Rivers but at his height i shouldn't be a problem. If he comes out this year he would probably be a third round pick, and I for one would love to see him in Houston. Any thoughts?

Beeg Boy! 6'8. I've only watched him once but he looked good.

I have been on this bandwagon for awhile. Does anyone else see this kid as a future starter. My ideal draft day scenario involves us trading back in the first round with the redskins so they can take Tannehill and taking randle or jeffrey with their second rounder and oswieler with ours and travis lewis with their their third, nick baptiste or mike martin with ours and another wr in the fourth like brian quick or tommy streeter

Luck, Griffin, and Weeden are the only QBs I like better than Osweiler. And I would actually take him over Weeden because of the age difference (seven years).

I think Cousins is on par with Osweiler. Osweiler might have a slight advantage in pure physical skills, but Cousins makes up for that in intangibles and his mental understanding of the position.

He can make any through you want and throws well on the run I have him third behind luck and rg3. He would be a good fit for the texans. He will be better than TJ I know it won't happen but if we got him in the second or third because of a tradedown so one of the QB needy teams could get tannehill it would be oh so sweet. I see couisins as a career backup while oswieler could be a probowler some day. Think Rich Gannon but with a stronger arm

Am I the only one unimpressed by Osweiler? He looks quite awkward.

Osweiler threw for 395 yards against Boise State in a bowl game. And looked terrible doing it. What I'd like to know is why it took 3 years to grab the starting job at ASU, with very little talent at the QB position? I just don't see Osweiler as a top prospect. Dan Orlovsky with a sidearm release.

Yeah there's something so odd about watching him throw it's almost painful. It's like watching Shaquille O'Neal shoot free-throws.

What surprises me is that a lot of people who knocks on Keenum never even mentioned that Osweller also operated out of the shotgun spread.

Now I have just started reviewing Az St. (vs. Illinois week 3), but there's no way any coach can change his system after the season had started like that.

NFL.com, for example, put a system QB label on Keenum, but not on Osweller or Weeden or RG III or anybody else (including Gabbert last year.)

That is simply astounding!

Another website (Walterfootball) suggested that Keenum didn't have a good performance at the Sr. Bowl when he didn't even play (LOL, what amazing scouting.)
"Keenum looks like a system quarterback who, judging by his performance at the Senior Bowl, doesn't have the potential to be much more than that."

CBSSports (NFLDraftscout) declares that Keenum has an average arm (at best) ... ultimately may lack the arm strength to keep defenders from feasting on underneath passes.

All this time I've already mentioned that he had thrown farther than either Schaub or Leinart on any of the deep routes and more specifically, the deep-out.
I wonder if these guys even watch any of the games, LOL!

...

Back to BO, I think his height will be his disadvantage.
He's pretty athletic for a big, tall guy, but it will be very difficult for the O-line to protect him at the next level.
In this particular game, he took too long to find a receiver (there were several open receivers) but his pre-snap and post-snap reads were so poor, Osweller couldn't see much of the field (it's such a waste of his height) he missed many of them.
I want to watch more from him before I come to a conclusion though.

So far, I'm surprised that nobody in the mock draft thread had taken a shot on Keenum yet.

I don't see a QB that is a better one than him in this draft.
The only two that I can see teams draft higher are Luck and RG III and that's only due to their physical stature.
