I didn't buy any grillin meats so I may be down to have my buddy ride me out there and hang for the game.

I'll be missing my first week at Pluckers this week. So the prime spot at the bar table right in front of the Texans TV will be free this week. We'll be watching the game a the house. Yall have a great time.

I have the NFL package, so I won't be joining. But, I used to go to Common Interest on Burnet a lot for NFL games in the past. The staff is very friendly and the food and beverages are good and well priced. There usually are not many people in there, thus the service is really good and they will put on which ever game you want to watch. I've gotten sick from Pluckers twice now, thus I won't go ever go again and I'm a wing guy. Other good spots around the area are Cover Three, Billys on Burnet (Packers bar), and Legends Sports Bar.

I've been to most the sports bars in Austin over the years for NFL Sunday and the Tavern on Lamar and Common Interest are my two favorite spots. But, since getting DirectTV and the NFL package a few years ago, I watch all the games from home. I used to be a regular at Posse East for Oilers games in the early 90's when in college. Those were good times.

I've found watching Houston professional football teams to be very painful over the years. The expletives I scream at the screen and just general foul mood I've been left in over the years has basically made me not want to watch the Texans in a public setting. The pain isn't something I feel like sharing with others.

Err, forgot it was a 3 PM game and met Brisco County. Had to come back to the hotel to pack up (driving back to Houston after). Headed back that way in an hour.

The best part? On Thursdays they have paintball karaoke.

You sing for judges. If the crowd or judges do not like you, the judges have paintball guns and shoot you.

We really need a bar in Houston to do this!
