James Harrison has a broken eye socket which requires surgery.

Harrison went down during the second quarter of Sunday's game after a violent collision with Texans offensive tackle Duane Brown and did not return to the game. Tomlin said Harrison broke his orbital bone.

I just re-watched the play and it didn't appear to be anything out of the norm, it was the Casey-Copter play. Brown came around on the screen and just popped Harrison straight up nothing big, but Brown is playing like a beast this season. Screenshot below...

That was a nasty hit Brown put on him ..... I was shocked that Harrison didnt go down considering the injury. Thats a tough dude.

The hit really didn't seem out of the ordinary to me, but it sounds pretty bad. Harrison is going to have to eat a lot more babies to recover from this one.

What?? Duane Brown didn't get flagged for "Roughing the Linebacker"?? It would've seemed as appropriate as JJ Watts roughing the passer call during the pick six... FML!

Kidding aside, I know this is a painful surgey, my mother has undergone Orbital surgery twice this year, and is expected to undergo another 2 times. The recovery time is at least 3 weeks.

Yeah, that was a very weak call by the ref. I'm not sure what JJ could've done to change his path after coming off a block and being tripped at the same time.

Kubiak specifically said they would be sending that play in for review as (a) he was blocked into Ben and (b) the initial contact was just below waist level and nowhere near his knee.

So many calls in football are subjective ..... too much room for interpretation on the part of the official. I hate where the game is going as far as the defensive player goes.

I heard about that. It'd be nice to get an immediate response to a game deciding play like that. It's moot now, but could've been devastating.

What would the NFL do now if it's determined that it was truly a bad call? A pat on the back?
