I agree. I mentioned how good he was playing a couple weeks ago. He's really taken to Wade's D and he's been playing out of his mind lately. He's been our best player on D so far this year. Definitely the most consistent.

Brian Cushing is the reason I don't fear MJD this year.

He always does well against CJ too. I've noticed that there are always plays where I'm thinking "Oh no he's getting outside" and then Cushing comes and wraps him up for no gain.

Cushing is quietly having an All-Pro year, in my opinion, while bringing the pain on every play.

Absolutely. The best player on the most improved defense in the league. The question is, will Cushing get credit for his play, post-suspension? From the media, fans, and even his peers?

One thing for sure, we can do our part here in Houston for him by voting like crazy for the Pro Bowl.

Cushing is the man.

Easily the best player on defense with jjo right on his heels. With aj being out he is my team MVP as well.

The Cush is back.

Another good call (among many) by 76Texan!

Cushing at ILB will work just fine!
Mario can play OLB!
Barwin (seemingly back to normal during PS) will continue to improve and play well.
The "move" to Wade's 34 won't take long!
Brooks Reed is a lunch-pail worker and will contribute, just give him a little time.
NT won't be a liability.
JJ Watt is plenty fast/quick to play 34 DE.

Just an all-pro year? I don't think so. This guy is having a DPOY level season so far.

Really making us "forget" that Mario's done for the year.

Un-REAL job by Cushing. This guy is a straight up monster.

Beast. I think he covers all the backs, 1 TE AND rushes on every single down. Like he splits into 3 more versions of himself. Dude is going straight up bananas, he's the reason this D is still fierce.

I was thinking MJD must have been thinking we had 13 guys on defense.

Cushings problem re getting consideration for an award like DPOY is that he's not that high in the stats, which is usually a requirment for getting such an award.

It seems to me like Cushing is becoming the heart and soul of this defense, I saw quite a few times last week against the Jags where they showed our D huddling and Cushing laying down the law.
