I'd like to see us improve our interior offensive line with any of these players: Elton Brown, Virginia; Chris Kemoeatu, Utah; Ben Wilkerson, Louisiana St.
on the defensive side of the ball Chris Canty, Virginia; Jovan Haye, Vanderbilt are both good fits and still available. if we want to go defensive line again.Anttaj Hawthorne, Wisconsin is still available and could be a value pick at this point. Ernest Shazor, Michigan is also available as a saftey. IF CC can grab me 1 or 2 of those players ill be somewhat more happy from the draft. |

How far can Hawthorne fall? The guy's name was mentioned with some of the top prospects for a while there. I know he tested positive. He could be a solid pick in the 4th though.

Hawthorne has some serious character issues and will be a steal in the 5th. Look for us to either go Jerome Mathis, Elton Brown, or Chris Kemoeautu. By the way dont count out Kieft in the 6th or so.

Hawthorne can play the nose tackle & Travis Johnson left or right tackle with Robaire Smith. Walker & Payne can provide both important minutes and leadership, plus a solid rotation. this draft has been really deep with these type of players still available in the 4th round. if Hawthorne is gone surely one of the physical guards will be a Texan like Kemoeatu a mauler then all will be forgiven and we can look forward to a better season.

Beer we could look forward to an interesting season. I am just not sure about Hawthorne but I guess we dont care about character guys anymore so why the hell not pick him in the fourth and then whatever WR or interior OL is available in the fifth. I would like us to maybe trade a 5th and 6th next year to get another pick in the fourth. I would not be mad at that. Hawthorne and Kemoeatu/Brown or maybe even Mathis.

I like some of those picks as well, but what about these players:
Jason Jefferson - DT - Wisc Darrell Shropshire - DT - South Caroline Lorenzo ALexander - DT - CAL I'd say the Texans need more depth at the DL (TJ will probably play DE) , so the DT is where I am looking. Beerlover, RightTackle/ Left Tackle? what defense are the Texans playing? 5-2? OL upgrades, speedy WR, ILB are also among my 2nd Day draft wishes.

I would like to get James "Boomer" Grigsby at some point in this draft. I think he has the potential to lead our defense in tackles for years to come.
