I must admit Tony Romo is a stand up guy. I have been hatin' on him forever because ... well he is the Cowboys QB and many of their fans are arrogant morons. However after watching his interview on Inside the NFL the guy is alright in my book, especially the way he handled Warren Sapp who blasted him big time.

I'm just amazed that NFL Network is having interviews of how the long pass to Holley happened. I mean special segments with Michael Irving asking how Holley knew what to do in that situation. Maybe I hibernated and didn't realize that play was for NFC Championship already. I mean that was such a special legendary NFL highlight and all. Such drama involved because Dallas pulled off a victory in OT vs. The 49ers.

I love Romo (don't hate the Cowboys either). He makes the game exciting, whether you think he's a good QB or not, doesn't matter to me.

I like football & he's one of those guys that makes it fun to watch. When he makes helluva plays.... & when he screws up (thank God he's not my QB)...

I think he's a gunslinger & I like gunslingers.

Did you see the part in the locker room where he was sitting on the floor, exhausted.

It must have been a monumental effort to run that one play if he was still that tired 20-30 minutes afterward.

Actually, as much as he annoys the piss outta me, I had to tip my hat to the muff-hugga after he returned with broken ribs. That showed a degree of heart that I didn't think the fool had. I stil LOATHE his team with a seething vehemence, but I respect him.

Not a Cowboy fan, but I love seeing players with heart. That is an injury that would keep most folks down, so much props for playing through it.

This was monumental and will play in the hearts of NFL fans all over for many years. We all need to spend a week talking about how those efforts were so awesome.

I'm not saying he didn't make a big effort and all. but it was the 2nd game of the season and the NFL is literally trying to shove this guy down our throats. Then, if we don't get Romo, we are getting Vick coverage. By the way Vick, is feeling better and his head doesn't hurt anymore (just incase you missed it).

Not saying I want them to talk about how Andre Johnson played on a bum ankle came out of the game wrapped it up, came back in and ran down 50 yards down field, out jumped his opponent for a game tying TD last year vs. The Redskins. Or the year before also had a punctured lung and coughed up blood against the 9ers but I'm just saying let's remember what the game was...exactly the way the NFL viewed Andre Johnson's efforts - a regular season game where a player did what they had to to get the win vs a team you should've beat outright. Not a monumental game, not a memorable performance for all NFL fans.


I know we could hear that Texans will get this coverage when they are winning. Well Dallas hasn't won crap in a while, which is the reason why their former head coach is our DC. But really, will the Texans get that kind of coverage when we do win? If you think so, well then this week, if we win, let's see how much coverage is based on how The Texans won vs. how the Saints lossed. If we lose, let's see how much they talk about how The Saints won.

I agree, but it is the Cowboys.

Anything the Cowboys do makes the news. Could be because at some point in time they did win a few Super Bowls. Respect is earned and as much as I hate to say it, they have earned it. We haven't - yet.

We have to be able to play with the big boys and untill we prove that we can on a regular basis we will not get any respect or much media attention.

We can start to change that by going 1-0 this week and 1-0 next week. But we will not get the respect we feel we deserve till we win on a consistant basis and make the playoffs on a regular basis.

Dude is a Brett Favre clone. Tough high-risk, high-reward gunslinger. He'll lose you some games but he will win even more for you.

I will always prefer a QB like that over a careful guy like Matt Schaub or Kurt Warner. Not a knock on Schaub at all, just a preference.

Glad to see Cowboys actually getting respect on this board.

Apparently Romo has only gotten one roughing the passer call since 2007. Don't see the man crying over it like a certain dream team member

Cowboys are the most popular team in the NFL and pretty much the world, of course they get media coverage.
