I'm sippin'...but that doesn't mean that I'm going to turn a blind eye. It's not "hatin" or whatever to critically analyze a team's performance. There is always room for improvement, and every head coach will tell you the same thing.

I really dislike the black and white attitudes that have become ingrained into our fan-base. It seems like you are either "this" or "that", but never a degree of both these days. But why? Shades of gray with me. You can still love your team and root for them with all your heart, but allow your mind to break things down and chat with other fans about it.

I love reading strategy and breakdowns, but it has to be informative and without prejudice or flames. We, as a rabid & vocal fan-base in the forum, need to re-learn how to respectfully agree to disagree.

Sorry to tangent, but I've just sensed a shifting attitude and I hate to see it downward spiral right when it appears that we have a team that has the potential to really be something significant in the NFL.

At the end of the day, we are all on the same team. love you guys and gals!

I agree as well. I just saw a couple of "Fire Kubiak" soap avatars in another thread and....we're 1-0 people. We won our last game by 27 points and we haven't lost yet. I know it's too early to assume success, but it's also too early to get all upset. We have a HC who's had success in this league as an OC, as well as a proven, successful DC. I'd like to keep them BOTH right where they are until they PROVE they won't get it done. Besides, do we really want to make major changes to this offense right now? I really don't think so.

I have been critical of Kubiak, but now is not the time for regurgitating the past. Yeah, take issue with this season's games and his coaching decisions, but it's pointless to not give him the benefit of the doubt this season (regardless if you think he deserves it or not).

I say that as a Texans fan. It is in ALL of our best interest to see him succeed this year. Obviously, as Texans fans, we want the team to do well and finally get to/go deep in the playoffs. And long term, who wants a regime change and another 5-6 year rebuild?

I feel this season, more than any other in a decade, is one where we have the right pieces. It just feels like a team that we can believe in, as crazy as that might sound. Our offense is proven solid and capable of putting up lots of points, even coming from behind. We've got the three headed monster on offense that teams dream of. And now with Wade's defense and personnel, I sense something positive in my bones, y'know?

I'm not going to bathe in koolaide, but I'm not going to begrudge anyone that does. But I will certainly take another refill...it looks like I've sipped this one dry.
