Not sure on the severity yet but he looked like he was pissed, like he knew it was bad.
Hopefully he will be fine for game one against the Colts.

He walked off without much limp, i don't think it's gonna be that serious.

I hope your right and it didn't look that bad to me either. At the same time he looked mad as hell walking off the field.

Uncle Bob doesn't think it's too serious. He's probably heard from the medical staff already i'm sure.

I don't think it was because he knew it was bad. I think it was more that he was upset that he injured it again and might miss the season opener.

Tater Tots didn't look so hot tonight. Ward was OK, Obfinslkjrleksk looked OK. Actually, the running game didn't click very well tonight.

The cold weather would have entered into this. Too long in there today. The length of time he was rested may seem to have been long, but it wasn't for an RB. 1 of 3 hamstring injuries will recur within about 6 months (especially) if not rehabbed properly. I would be thinking of resting him anywhere from 2-3 weeks and share play time generously when he comes back.

Hmm....I guess we get spoiled with 5 plus yards per carry, but 172 yards at a 4.1 clip ain't bad.

They werent world beaters but they did more than enough to keep the 49ers defense honest .... SF's run defense was pretty stout last season .... #6 in the NFL giving up only 3.5ypc and only 96.7 per game.

Cloak, it was mentioned during the broadcast that hamstrings are particularly tough injuries because it is difficult to gauge how the healing is progressing. What is the best way to determine when the muscle is healed?

This was predictable, and predicted. Hamstrings linger and re-aggravate.
I'll defer to Cloak on this, but if he plays on opening day, IMO, he'll re-aggravate it again. I don't want to sound like a Debbie Downer on Foster, but I'll be surprised if this isn't a season long issue for him. |

Weird saying this but I feel pretty comfy with Tate and Ward if Foster needs more time to heal. In the history of this team, when have we had this kind of depth at any position?

Maybe go light with Foster against the Colts, especially if Manning doesn't play. We all know how their run D is, so Tate and Ward should do well.
