Default Nate Davis Cut by Colts... Not Orlovsky?

Probably gearing up to activate the Peyton.

I'm not thinking of Peyton doing much in the way of practice, even if he comes back next week. I have a feeling that Peyton's neck will be a pain in the neck more for the Colts than the Texans this year.

I sure hope you're right. The surgeries being that close together is what you're baseing your opinion on?

DanO will be at the helm there, soon.

If and when Peyton plays, I bet there will be plenty of hits on him to test that injury.

I could even imagine that the dreaded bounty might be out and some flaggable offences are in the offing.

As some one quoted the other day, if you're not cheating, you're not trying.

With his dinky Oline and with timing practice time having been shortened, I too feel he will probably be hit more often. But one factor that probably did not play into the picture after his first surgery, will factor in after this 2nd surgery.........and that is the natural fear of being hit again and the realization that he could sustain further more serious neck injury. The tentativeness that he is sure to show will in itself mess with his timing and his accuracy, even when he is not hit. He will definitely be thinking of the probability of having to undergo an open cervical fusion procedure as opposed to the minimally-invasive procedures he has undergone so far.......the former requiring a very much longer recovery. He undoubtedly will hear his share of hoof beats every game.

If that's not enough to think about, he will be waiting for a familiar voice of fatherly advice which will not be there any more during practices or games...............longtime Indianapolis Colts offensive coordinator Tom Moore, who retired in May and was hired as a Jets consultant in July. And please, I don't want to hear about how Manning is his own coach.........he will very much miss if not the critique, but the certainly the affirmation of his play.
