Questions about forwarding tickets

Has anyone ever "forwarded" their season tickets before? Seems like a cool concept, and I'd like to try it, but it makes me wonder...what if I were to buy hard tickets on craigslist for a Texans game, but it turns out the seller had already forwarded them to another buyer? Then the other buyer would have the legit tickets and I'd be stuck like chuck! Am I missing something here, or is this really how it is!?

That's pretty much how it would work! Your paper tickets become null, the forwarded tickets are then loaded into the barcode system.

This is what the Texans rep told me before we did it last year.
