The NFL’s players have voted today to ratify a new Collective Bargaining Agreement, allowing the league year to begin.

Jay Glazer of FOX Sports had the first report that the deal has been approved.

“Just got word from a source they have received enough votes! Let the league year begin,” Glazer wrote on Twitter. “The players have voted to ratify the new CBA!”

It had to clear a few last hurdles today — including testing for human growth hormone and appeals of league discipline for personal-conduct policy violations — but the bottom line is that the NFL year is now underway.
