6'1", 190, 4.62 forty. Here's the NFL combine profile.
Scouts weren't enamored with his speed, but his hands, route running, and ability to get separation stand out. The combine report says he'll lack the explosiveness necessary to get separation in man coverage at the next level, but that's hard to believe when considering he set the all-time record for the three cone drill at the combine. Here's the combine video. He moves like a graceful spaz. Youtube highlights here and here. In the first video, go to 1:15 to see him contend for the ball. Also see the needle get threaded to him at the 3:40 mark. Maehl benefited from the Oregon spread offense, but I think he could easily find his place in a pro offense that's designed to throw defenders off balance. Even Kevin Walter has to come back on those passes. It's the 40-yard hook pattern. Gets the defense every time.
