Default The All Encompassing 2011 Free Agency Thread

Figured we can start a new one for this year, right?

And the first move..

And so it begins...filed to ESPN: The Ravens have told RB Willis McGahee they will be releasing him.

Paul Posluszny is a good ILB from the Bills that will be a UFA tomorrow (151 tackles last year). He may be worth going after, but if we got him it would probably move Cushing to OLB. Might work out for everyone.

NT/G Kelly Gregg will be released also(from the Ravens). Although he could return at a reduced salary.

Edit: Todd Heap, Derrick Mason will be released/cut too.

evansilva Evan Silva
#Ravens slashing an awful lot of vets: Mason + McGahee + Heap + Gregg = $18.6 million in salary. Gearing up for run at Nnamdi Asomugha?

Looks like we have our first UDFA signing or agreement -Kendric Burney, CB, North Carolina, heading to the Panthers.

Make that two, DeAndre McDaniel, S, Clemson signing/agreement with New Orleans

CB DeVon Torrence, CB, Ohio St to Vikings

Utah KR Shaky Smithson expected to sign with Green Bay

That would be a good pick up for us.

What about Babin possibly going to The Bears? Would be nice to get him outta our division.

IIRC, it is unlikely he resigns w/ titans due to them running a more traditional 4-3 with their DE's playing closer to the tackle.
