I think in light of the Buchanon trade i'd be much happier trading down 2 to 5 spots and picking the best offensive lineman available, assuming a Cedric Benson and Troy Williamson don't slip to us.

Trading down just a couple to 5 spots will net us an extra 3rd or a 3rd and a 5th or 4th, just a couple more mid round picks to make up for the Buchanon trade.

There would still be a chance at Baron at 15, and if not Barnes is not that far behind.

I think the latest Barron goes is 14 to Carolina, where they haven't been happy with Jordan Gross at LT and will be moving him to RT...I've gotta think if he's there at 14 they take him...

then we take Khalif Barnes at 15 or 16... baron isn't a 3rd round pick better than barnes if that makes sense.

That makes sense to me...Word has it that the Texans like Barnes better than Barron anyway...I honestly don't think we should take Barnes unless we trade into the 20s, though...If we were to only trade down a few spots, I'd want Thomas Davis, David Pollack, or Mark Clayton...

although sometimes i think the joy of trading down is getting more picks, cause each one is like a christmas present and we can spend 3 months gloating over how they will become pro-bowlers or rally cheers for firing the coach, when you get an established player, its like peeking.

i want more picks cause i'm selfish and it will make draft day more fun.

At this point I'm for trading down. NO OL. I WOULD have liked to seen us go after baas in the 2nd round. I think my ideal situation now is trade down in the 1st and pick up a 3rd. Draft either Davis or Clayton. Then pick up Brown from UVA who plays Guard.
