Cougar Tailgate

This is not about wild animals or older ladies, but UH football. Seeing as it is looking more & more like we won't have a Texans game at Reliant until October, or maybe not at all - who is up for some U of H football & tailgating?

There's two home games in September:

Sept 3 vs UCLA...............$35
Sept 24 vs Georgia State....$20

Both are Saturday Games and there is no Texan Home Game scheduled the next day.


If there's enough interest, I'll call the ticket office and see about some group tickets. So if you're interested - post here and you're prefered date.

Called the ticket office - The minimum for group tickets is 15 people, and the prices were added next to the games above. These are Reserved Seating, not General Admission seats

I already have tickets. We will be changing our tailgate location this year due to the fact that a new parking garage will be built smack dab where we tailgate now. Most likely, we will be next to the Architecture Building.

I'll be happy to help organize this with you David.

I'll take all the help I can get! Figured I'd gauge the interest since I know we have a few Coog fans on here. Do you know if the parking garage will be finished before the season starts?

Boy, that's out there. I didn't even know folks tailgated there.

Anyway, I posted because as it is I'm planning on going this year with my fellow Coog and cousin and he's the quintessential good guy to tailgate with.

I'll bring food but am ill-equipped on seats and tables, let alone with nothing to haul them in.

EDIT: I only checked UCLA but would have checked Georgia St. as well had I known I could check two, sorry.

I have already paid for my season tickets.

Last year we had an IN and were able to have a reserved tailgating spot in Tailgate Village. We were right next to President Khator (sp?) and about 15 feet from the entrance.

I hope we can get the same spot this year. Will keep you posted.

For the past 10 years or so, we have been tailgating in the Yellow Lot. To do so, you have to make a contribution to Cougar Pride to give you the right to pay for a spot in the Yellow Lot. With the construction of the new parking lot, this area is going to get more packed and more expensive and our group has decided its not too far to tailgate at our old friend the Architecture Building.

I will still be contributing to Cougar Pride but really don't mind tailgating a little further away from the stadium.

When I parked out there is was nothing but cars (like, at 3:00), the tailgaters I was with were near the stadium.

Trust me, didn't wasn't drinking a drop at that time.

And Greg, no slight intended, I just didn't know that.

I am a 1992 UH Grad and a season ticket holder. I am a member of the UHAA, but usually park over across the streets near Yates. I do not have a parking pass, but would love to help out for a group that does where I can get there early and have a few beers before the game. Orange Lot on Sundays and in the BULLPEN!
