Mark Herzlich finally gets drafted
The "dream" remains alive. PFT reports Herzlich has been drafted by the UFL........for now.
None of the 254 picks in the 2011 NFL draft went to Boston College Mark Herzlich, a cancer survivor whom the league invited to the festivities — apparently without knowing for sure that he’d be taken. (Smooth.) But there’s some good news for Herzlich, sort of. He was the 51st of 52 picks in the UFL draft, by the Omaha Nighthawks. He likely didn’t go higher because the five UFL teams realize that Herzlich will be more inclined to sign a free-agent contract with an NFL team, once the lockout is lifted, either judicially or otherwise. |
