Interesting RB question

Another question involving these running backs? If Carnell Williams was good enough to start ahead of Ronnie Brown throughout their time together at Auburn, why is Brown now the consensus pick to be taken before Williams in this draft? Brown was actually the third-string running back as a junior behind Williams and Brandon Jacobs, who transferred to Southern Illinois for his final year.
Last season, Williams had 239 carries for 1,165 yards. Both had impressive workouts at the combine. Both caught the ball well during positional drills. Both are solid blockers in pass situations, although Brown is considered by far the best of any back in that department.

Yet for some reason, Williams is dropping, so much that there are projections he might not even be taken in the top 10 while Brown will go either first or second overall even though he started only 21 of the 47 games Auburn played while he was on the roster

That's the exact same thing that McClain has been preaching for months and I've raised the question here, never got a solid response though ...Lately I've been sipping the "what did they do in college?" flavored Kool-Aid and laying off the "how fast does the guy run in shorts?" flavored Kool-Aid...Not to take anything from Brown, I think he'll be a good pro, but what did Tommy Tuberville see that we aren't?

Im pretty sure that its about the size... Ronnies is bigger than Williams, and I think that teams think that he will be more durable.

Well I mean if they split carries just b/c Cadillac STARTED the games I'd like to see the film of who FINISHED the games. I'm sure you'll find brown there more than cadillac. He also is a better blocker and receiver so that's another reason he's ahead of his teammate. Nothing wrong with sipping the what did they do in college but we gotta get the full story of it.
