Ten picks to go. I'm hoping it's Brooks Reed, desperatley.
As far as Gabbert and Locker. I'm not worried about them next year. It's still Peyton to beat. These guys aren't Bradford or Ryan type of rookies IMO.

I'm not sure what's up with the Vikes taking Ponder. I had Dalton rated much higher

The Ponder pick makes sense to me, even though it is a reach. To me, he is the most NFL ready QB in this class. So even though guys like Newton, Gabbert, Locker, and Dalton are all more talented, they need time before they can get out on the field. Ponder could probably start week 1 without ruining his development. That's not to say that he is Bradford or Matt Ryan, but I think he would be the Vikings most capable option at QB. |

No real elite QB prospect, Newton maybe but he can just as easily bust out like VY. Locker and Gabbert top 10 is a joke to me, those are unbelievable reaches and will only help boost our team's pass D woes as neither is as highly thought of as other recent selections. Stafford, Bradford, Flacco, Freeman, Ryan...
I really, really hope we watch these two teams trot out rookies at key positions and get them in trouble. It would be nice if it wasn't theTexans for once.... |
