Default Bah007's Seven Round Mock Draft

Hey gang, I've been working on this for a long while. Typically I usually put out two or three mocks during the off season. But this year I put all my effort into this one mock. It's a full seven rounds including the compensatory picks. I spend way too much time watching college football, re-watching college football, and researching prospects. This is sort of the culmination of all of that. I hope y'all enjoy it.

I'm putting it in a team by team format, but if anybody cares enough I can also post it in its original format by selection. I thought this would be easier on the eyes and I didn't want to post both unless enough people were interested.

Nice mock, but you left off Detroit's 7th. Better re-do your last 40 picks... :P

Lions Get Back 2011 NFL Draft 7th-Round Pick, Lose 2012 Pick Instead

ESPN's Mike Sando is reporting that the NFL has reinstated the Detroit Lions' seventh-round pick in the 2011 NFL Draft. That's the good news. The bad news is that the Lions will now lose their seventh-round pick in 2012 instead. In essence, their tampering punishment still stands, but at least now the Lions have six picks in this year's draft rather than five.

By getting their seventh-round pick in this year's draft back, the Lions now have the following six picks:

* Round 1, pick No. 13, overall pick No. 13
* Round 2, pick No. 12, overall pick No. 44
* Round 3, pick No. 11, overall pick No. 75
* Round 4, pick No. 10, overall pick No. 107
* Round 5, pick No. 23, overall pick No. 154 (originally had pick No. 9 in the fifth round -- the 140th overall pick -- but that now belongs to Kansas City as part of the swap of fifth-round selections)
* Round 7, pick No. 2, overall pick No. 205 (acquired from Denver as part of Alphonso Smith deal)

Haha son of a...

Well I'm not gonna redo it, that's for sure. I thought the draft order had been finalized when the comp picks were announced. It never occurred to me that something like that could be changed after a decision had already been made.

Just change their 6th to a 7th. It's all good

I think in general your round values for players will be more accurate than the group mock that we have done.

FWIW as a Huskers fan I think you have Helu Jr and Henry too late and Gomes too soon.

It is also nice to see so many Huskers getting drafted this year.

That was a heck of an undertaking. Just mocking the Texans picks takes quite awhile.

That was an impressive draft for the 49ers.

The more I think about it, the more I think you might be right with Houston taking Kerrigan in the first round.

Yep. New England has a nice haul in this draft too. Buffalo as well, save Newton

Good job, but i'll monumentally pissed if the texans take Ryan Kerrigan with their 1st. That is the absolute worst possible scenario in my eyes.

For what he'll be projected as in our scheme, i don't think he's fast or athletic enough to be an olb in a 3-4....most of the damage he did at purdue came with his hand in the dirt, which isn't a good look for a LB ....& in general i just think he's too sack happy.........meaning either he'll only be an option on 3rd & longs or he'll be so hot & heavy to get to the qb, he'll be 1 of those guys that tackles will take him wherever he wants to go.........which most of the time will leave gaping holes for the rb to run through b/c he runs around guys & chases too much. He just doesn't look like a natural pass rusher to me for some reason. Obviously, i hope i'm wrong if we do wind up selecting him.

That's not even counting the fact that i feel we already have a guy in his mold (who's faster & more athletic imo) in conner barwin.

He's not as athletic. He dosent move as well in space and doesnt have the burst off the line like Aldon Smith. -------but he is a powerfull high effort player. He'll be fine against the run and as a pass rusher. If they want that backer spot to drop into coverage on a regular basis he's probably not the best fit.

He's a safe player to draft because what you see is what you get and he will make the effort to get better. He's also a high character guy which is another reason i think he'll be our pick when amukamara is off the board.

I don't really watch any tape of these guys, but I found it interesting that Kerrigan actually out-performed Smith at the Combine. I know that doesn't always translate to games, but he was faster and stronger then him.

Awesome job man. Props. Jags would be pissed if you took Kerrigan @ 11.
