OK, maybe not the sky, but these players draft stocks sure are! I think any of them have potential to be good picks for the Texans, since they're falling too far from where their college performance would indicate they go.
OG Elton Brown - easily a 1st rounder when the season ended. Now he might be available at #73 SS/ILB Ernest Shazor - mid-2nd rounder when the season ended. Ran too slow at the combine and will probably be projected as a linebacker. Should be available in the 3rd. RB Vernand Morency - Originally a late second rounder, he was killed by his 40-time. Now he might not be a first-day pick any more. |

This is why I think you make a strong push for DJ rather than go Oline ,receiver, and RB early. There will also be a ton of RB late that would fit.

Shazor would probably make a pretty good ILB, but I'm not sure he has the speed we're looking for there...He run a 4.7 at the combine, but for some reason NFL.Com has his 40 at 4.44
...That's a really big difference in times there...Anyway, I'd be happy if we ended up with one of those three...

I like Brown in the third but only if we don't get Baas earlier. Shazor seems a little to slow for the type of LB that Dom Capers really likes. Not sure he'd be that good in our system.
