Fiesta Bowl fires Junker amid expense flap
The Fiesta Bowl fired long-time CEO John Junker Tuesday after a report by an independent investigation team that found the college bowl committee improperly reimbursed employees and executives for campaign contributions to Arizona politicians.
The report also found “unauthorized and excessive compensation, non-business and inappropriate expenditures and inappropriate gifts” for Junker and other bowl executives.
