Well this is a neat twist to the Madden cover for 2012. They have all 32 teams with 1 player representing each in the style of an NCAA basketball bracket. It seems that the first round is all divisional matchups, including Andre Johnson (6 seed) against Chris Johnson. So VOTE FOR AJ!!! We can't let him lose to CJ1K!

Well, for those of you trying to tank Andre Johnson's chances of getting on the cover, you won't have any problem voting for Michael Vick this round. I'm sure the marketing folks over at EA would love to have Vick on the cover...

Hopefully Vick will advance and we can all stop worrying about AJ. I just hope there is no residual effects of the curse for just being involved in the voting process.

The two players are in the finals of the Madden '12 cover vote, having made it through four rounds of a 32-player bracket on ESPN.com. From now until April 27, fans can vote for either the Philadelphia Eagles quarterback or the Cleveland Browns running back as the new cover athlete for the biggest video game in sports. The winner will be announced that afternoon on "SportsNation."

Colbert Wins NASA's Node 3 Naming Contest

NASA's online contest to name a new room at the international space station went awry. Comedian Stephen Colbert won.

The name "Colbert" beat out NASA's four suggested options in the space agency's effort to have the public help name the addition. The new room will be launched later this year.

NASA's mistake was allowing write-ins. Colbert urged viewers of his Comedy Central show, "The Colbert Report" to write in his name. And they complied, with 230,539 votes. That clobbered Serenity, one of the NASA choices, by more than 40,000 votes.

NASA Names Space Treadmill C.O.L.B.E.R.T.

NASA is serious about its space station crew members exercising in orbit, but that doesn’t mean the agency can’t have a little fun along the way.

That’s why a treadmill engineers had called simply T-2 for more than two years is suddenly famous as the Combined Operational Load-Bearing External Resistance Treadmill, or COLBERT. NASA selected the treadmill's name after comedian and host Stephen Colbert of Comedy Central's "The Colbert Report" took interest during the Node 3 naming census and urged his followers to post the name "Colbert," which received the most entries.

Maybe instead of putting Hillis on the cover, they can name the Madden 12 Labor Negotiations expansion pack the Human Intervention in the Labor Lockout Interactive Simulation and they can put somebody else on the cover.
