I have had good luck selling my spare ticket, I usually list them here and on the main board. I take paypal and email the tickets. Once or twice the person has met me in person to buy.

Get the deal done ahead of time. Money in paypal before emailing.

Craigslist and meet in person is the way to go! I have never had any problems. List the monday on the week before and the phone blows up.

I have never waited to gameday to sell a ticket, that has to really limit your customer base. And if the ideas above don't come through, there is always ebay/stubhub, which I only do as a last resort.
