The second-year running back and former undrafted free agent out of Tennessee is one of three nominees for the award, along with Kansas City Chiefs running back Jamaal Charles and Atlanta Falcons running back Michael Turner.

Voting began Jan. 10 at 11 a.m. CT at NFL.com/fedex. Fans can place their votes until Friday, Jan. 28, at 8 p.m. CT. The winner will be announced at a press conference on Wednesday, Feb. 2, at 3 p.m. CT, at the Super Bowl XLV media center in Dallas.

Fantasy football players will make sure Foster gets in. Dude had double digit points in every game except for two (and most were 20 points plus). Amazing for an RB.

And no reason anyone should have to vote for him for him to win. These awards are about popularity not merit, because if it was based on merit they would just hand it to Foster.

Foster had an amazing year, but to dismiss Jamaal Charles as unworthy is a bit rich.

Close to 1500 yards at 6.4 yards a pop is incredible. Second best average ever is worth consideration for an award.

That's what he was DRAFTED to do. UDFAs don't just pop on to the scene and lead the league in rushing in their second year.

I guess it doesn't count since it's "ground player", but this is what made Foster's season even more impressive to me.

66 receptions (2nd in the league)
604 yards (1st in the league)
