Default Glover Quin

I just want to thank whoever taught him how to use the remote, so he could study film against his opponents.(LOL) Just kidding ever since the Titans game he has stepped up. After the Ravens game i just wanted to give him some praise for not letting all those mistakes build up and get him down mentally.

I'm going to repeat myself (again, sorry) and say that I think the light has finally come on for him.

On top of that he's got a swagger now, which I like. Not sure if that swagger will stick after he has a bad game, but hopefully it will. I'm looking forward to seeing him face a healthy Kenny Britt. If Glover can cover him, then I think we've got some good things to look forward to next year.

Yep, he was the most impressive player on the D last night. The only one consistently making plays.

Me too

He went from below average to acceptable.

Which is a vast improvment over the rest of the secondary.

Key word was consistent. Pollard looked good close to the line of scrimmage; he was still abysmal in coverage. And Cushing is a shadow of last year.

Quin has really stepped up his game since the Fail Gary play. With improved coaching, I'm certain that Quin can be part of the solution.

Add me to the 'I'm impressed by his rebound' choir.

After being directly involved in two last minute back-to-back loses, he's come back looking good.

Yeah, some will call him 'acceptable', that's fine with me, if our entire secondary was 'acceptable' in pass coverage, our offense would'nt have to score 30+ points a game

I wish we could get pretty lucky like the Oilers did one year and draft players like Mike Dumas, Darryl Lewis, Marcus Robertson, and Steve Jackson. They drafted an entire secondary and pretty much all those dudes contributed.

While I agree that Cushing has not been very good overall this season, he has really done a lot better over the last 3 weeks. He was pretty good against Balty, and put some fear into Chris Johnson. I'm not nearly as worried about him bouncing back from not having his favorite supplements as I was 4 weeks ago.

Oh and Golf Claps all around for Glover Quin. Why is it he has played his best after getting a cast on his hand?

That's not possible for the Texans, we draft 8th string TE's, small school projects, and CSU players in the mid and later rounds.

Default Re: Glover Quin

Quin made a key play in the 4th quarter when he performed an athletic leap in front of the receiver and batted down the ball. That's the best play I've seen him make all year. With ability like that --plus the way he tackles-- he is indeed part of the solution.

Now, imagine how improved these corners could play with the addition of a real free safety back there to help. I'm not quite sure what it is Eugene Wilson contributes.

Interesting you raise this. I was listening to a show last night on the Radio (Keyshawn and Mortneson perhaps) and they were saying how Polamalu can freelance and take educated gambles because Ryan Clark is such a good Free Safety.

Makes me think that if we just had that special FS we the rest of the secondary would click into place.... even Pollard.
