ESPN for the first few rounds then they switch it over the ESPN2. I am pretty sure all of the second day is ESPN2.

The funny part is watching the analysts analyze the 6th and 7th round draft picks. By that time they've spent countless hours talking about who's going to be where, and how they're going to do in that system, etc. So you see a ton of exhausted analysts trying to think of something to fill the time space, but the strange thing is no matter how long Kiper is on at a time his hair never changes. Guys like Berman or Mortenson start looking like they just rolled out of bed by the end of the draft, but Kiper's helmet hair looks just like it did when the coverage began.

The NFL Draft should be on the same channel it's been for years.
I remember a few drafts ago when the 1st 5 teams drafted players in 2 minutes; the people in the audience and the analysts were getting confused. Funny to watch.

It was hilarious a few years back when Minnesota missed their pick and the crew had no idea what was going on while the next few teams rushed their picks to the podium...

If you plan to go to a bar and watch it you will be there forever. The Texans will probably pick about 2 hours after the draft starts so make sure to take your time.

The time between the picks is ridiculous! It's like 15mins right? They should make the gap shorter like 7 mins or something like that.

15 minutes in between picks in the first round, then 10 minutes for the second. I belive it goes down to 5 minutes in the later rounds but am not totally sure.

I'm pretty sure most of the 15 minutes is used for trade talks and related deals. Most teams know who they want, when they want them, before the draft even starts. They've got every possible scenario pretty much charted/planned out.
Edit - Of course, that doesn't change the fact that the 15 minute interval feels like forever (Especially when they designate Houston's pick for commercial)

surprising to me that Tice wasn't fired for that total break down of composure at a very key time of the year for any NFL team. I mean your selecting your #1 pick in the college draft, think of all the time and money expended over a whole year that went into deciding what your choice would be. But back to the draft - they are great to watch and I'm looking forward to this years even more that ever. I think there's more intrigue about our picks this year than any other year so far. |

i think its funny when picks are going on they dont keep up with it. They are always 6-8 picks behind. Then all they want to talk about is the 1-3 rd picks that each team made.
