Hi guys,im pretty new here and havent posted often. what do you guys think we are going to do about our running backs next year? Obviously Arian Foster is going to be starting but do you think we resign Ward and release Slaton or let Ward go to free agency. Hopefully Ben Tates injury wont affect his play next year but if it does, who do you want behind arian and do you think we will keep 4 running backs?

Slaton is a goner. It's Foster then Tate and Ward fighting for carries.

Doubt Slaton makes the roster. As for Ward, unless he gets more $ somewhere else he'll be our #2 until Tate proves he is worthy of it.

Isn't Tate also out for most of next year? I just seem to remember a two year recovery for his ankle.

Foster and Tate you can count on. I wouldn't count Slaton out if Ward leaves.

If Ward stays, you can count Slaton out. I'm sure one of the two of those (backup) guys will be here next year. I much rather have Ward than Slaton though if you're asking.

Slaton is gone no matter what. Foster, Tate and possible Ward/FA/pick depending on whether we get a new coaching staff or not.

Nah, it's a broken fibula. Should only take about six months to heal. He'll definitely be 100% before next season.

Texans took hit early (Tate) but bounced back with Arian Foster. RB's have a short shelf so it's best to always be prepared for the worst. I would say they add to their stable via draft or free agency to be safe.
