He reminds me of LaMar Woodley in that he isn't overly fast but quick and explosive, especially when taking on offensive lineman. He is probably not as good of a prospect as Woodley, but the same type of player IMO.

I really wanted Kerrigan when the Texans were running a 4-3. Not wild about him in the 3-4, but I will go back and look at some film.

yeah, me too. Kerrigan seems more like a natural 4-3 DE, good pass rushing skills, relentless pursuit plus solid in run support, don't see that explosive edge speed like a Von Miller or Dontay Moch who better fit Wade Phillips 3-4 OLB job requirements.

A darkhorse mid-round pick for me would be a guy like Mark Herzlich. He played OLB if I remember correctly before having to battle cancer. Health is a concern here but the risk is worth it. At 6'4" 238-lbs (Yes, he needs to bulk up) he has a non-stop motor and can shed blocks with ease and would make a perfect OLB in our 3-4 scheme.

Perhaps he is a better 4-3 prospect. I don't think we'll know till the combine. He is not going to be a speed edge rusher though, but he's very solid all around. Connor Barwin fits the speed rusher mold just fine. We just need a disruptor of any kind right now. Somebody in the front 7 that can make plays. If Miller isn't worth #11, there's no reason we should reach on him because he's a speed rusher.

What does anybody think about Aldon Smith at # 11?

He's fast and explosive off the edge. He's going to test out great at the combine. Although he may be a little stiffer in the hips than you would like.

Smith's alot better athlete than Kerrigan. IMHO

I just don't see guys who are 6'5" and have played with their hands in the dirt being able to convert as OLBs. Unless if we were running a D similar to Miami's which uses heavy OLBs, Wade seems to use guys who are 6'3" or 6'4" 260-Lbs max and relies on them being able to use their speed and quickness to make plays.

Guys like Kerrigan, Quinn, and Smith are strictly 4-3 DEs IMO but I'm not sure if they would be able to play in 3-4 unless Wade wants to implement hybrid defenses.

No, because he went to the wrong school.

I don't know about 4 qb's in the top 15. And have we forgot about Mike Pouncy? I think with the success that his brother had, he will surely go in the late 1st.

I could see Gabbert,Newton,Mallett going in the top 15.

Locker probably will fall to the bottom of the 1st or top of the 2nd.

Locker and Gabbert will probably be the top 2 QB's to come out of this draft.

Another late rd QB to look out for is Andy Dalton. Smart/Mobile/Good Arm

Would be really cool if it did.

The Steelers interior OL would be solid for yrs to come.

have no problem if that's what you guys want to do. I'm not a huge advocate of a TE going in the 1st coming off injury, if we can agree to take Rudolph off the reigns. start with 29 if that sounds about right? have not moved any of the other picks we made/agreed to as a group.
