Angry Why??

Why did Dan Synder fire Charley Casserly in 1999 or 2000?? Wasn't he the architect of those Super Bowl winning teams in late 80s and early 90s??

Thanks

To be honest the only good reason I could see for Snyder firing CC is because Snyder's ego wouldn't allow him to be the #2 guy. He's a businessman, and he's used to being in total control of whatever business he's involved with. To him the Redskins were just another business where he could jump right in and succeed. All in all what was a loss for the Redskins has become a terrific gain for the Texans.

Im sure having the biggest, or one of the biggest scout departments doesnt hurt CC's rep as being a great draft artist.

Snyder is to GMs what Jones is to coaches.

But hey, thanks Dan.

yea Snyder realized that you cant bring big name superstars in and have a succesful team because a lot of them did not fit the scheme.

He felt Casserly wasnt stockpiling talent in Washington and Snyder wanted to win immediately
