This link is pretty cool. Click on each match-up for the remaining weeks and it tells you the playoff seeding.
My simulation has the Colts winning the division and the Texans finishing 9-7 and missing the play-offs. http://espn.go.com/nfl/playoffs/machine

The best scenario. No Jets and we would play the Dolphins at Reliant for the first playoff game. Comedy Oakland Raiders in the playoff option? Checked.

In my scenario, even if the Texans win out, we won't be making the playoffs.

Let's see. The scenario requires the Jets to go 0-5, and the
Raiders to go 5-0. The Colts and Jags must ALSO go 2-3 each. Oh, yeah. The Texans also must go 4-0 to end the season. Yeah, right. Losing tiebreakers to the Jets, Chargers, and Ravens cost the Texans BIG.

Cowboys over Colts
Titans over Jags Oakland over Jags Titans over Colts Texans over Jags If that happens, we're in, assuming we win out

All we gotta do to make the playoffs is win the next 14 games in a row.

lol that somehow actually gave me a tiny bit of hope- all that needs to happen is for us to win out (not that unlikely given our past record of finishing strong and our opponents), the colts to go 3-2, and every other game to go as expected (steelers beating jags etc)
we seem to have tiebreakers over every other team in our division if we all finish 9-7 http://espn.go.com/nfl/playoffs/mach...~2~310102011~2 |

we can get in at 8-8 meaning we can lose to the ravens and still get in ......????
all we need is the colts to lose to Dallas and the Jags THere is a way to get in at 9-7 but we will have to play Balty Pittsburg Jets all in the playoffs Yikes |

interesting...
of all the selectable criteria, the Saints' best chances are if you select the "Defensive Ranking" option Not the criterion I would've expected to put us in the #1 seed slot - cool |
