This season our corners have been killed, and if Glover Quin is the best we got. We need to realy think about the chances of drafting a Cornerback with our first round pick two years in a row. This is the year that we will get our corners in shape. I can also see us tradeing up this year, but this mock will have us drafting at 17. If we do not draft a Corner with the firstround pick. Look for us to draft a Free Safty or Defencive Tackle with the first round pick. The secound round pick will most
likely be a Free Safty. If we went with Cornerback with the first round pick, but if not it will be CornerBack, or Defencive Tackle. Because i see the texans drafting eather the Cornerback with first round pick like stated above, or the Free Safty. With the third round pick i see us takeing a Defencive Tackle. If we get a solid pick here. I can actualy see him starting. If we do not draft a defencive tackle here look for eather a good Center or good Defencive End. With the fourth round pick. If we drafted a defencive tackle with the third round pick, and i would hope we did. I would draft a Center with the fourth round pick just because Myers is under sized. If we did not go with a Center here we would grab a Defencive End, or Linebacker. With the fifth round pick it will be a Defencive End , linebacker or Cornerback. we can never have to many Cornerbacks. with the 6th round round pick i hope we get a Linebacker or Cornerback or Widereciver, but with the last pick in the draft we would get Cornerback or Widereciver, punter . So if you did not understand a word above. I am going to have 3 picks like 1 . 2. .3 for the first round to the seventh round 1. Being most likely. 2. If we went in a differnt direction. 3. Is the "Oh god texans why?" So here we go. first round pick 1. Ras-I Dowling, CB, Virginia We need Cornerback help 2. Deunta Williams, FS, North Carolina We need safty help 3. Jurrell Casey, DT, USC If he comes out of school. We could use him. secound round pick 1. Rahim Moore, FS, UCLA This is my risk pick. 2. Jared Crick, DE/DT, Nebraska Erm yah walterfootball.com has him as our first round pick i see him as our secound. 3. Janoris Jenkins, CB, Florida I dont think we get a corner with our secound round pick, but he is ok. third round pick 1. Christian Ballard, DT, Iowa We need a DT 2 Kristofer O'Dowd, C, USC This kid is kick @$$. I would not mind him at all. 3. Eddie Jones, DE, Texas I like this kid to haha. fourth round pick. 1.Kristofer O'Dowd, C, USC I want this kid to slide to us. 2.Eddie Jones, DE, Texas He should be at our pick stil. 3.K.J. Wright, OLB, Mississippi State His stats would make this a good pick. "K.J. Wright had 81 tackles and 5.5 TFL" fifth round pick 1.Scott Solomon, DE, Rice Houston boy with 6.5 sacks. 2.K.J. Wright, OLB, Mississippi State slide???? 3.Justin Rogers, CB/KR, Richmond Bonus kick returner. sixth round pick 1.Michael Morgan, OLB, USC I want him bad. would be a great pick. 2.Justin Rogers, CB/KR, Richmond Ok pick for this spot. 3.Niles Paul, WR/KR/PR, Nebraska KickRetuner PuntRetuner. 7th round pick 1.Justin Rogers, CB/KR, Richmond Ok pick for this spot. 2.Niles Paul, WR/KR/PR, Nebraska kickRetuner PuntRetuner. 3.Derek Epperson, P, Baylor Pray he is there. |

like the way you formatted your picks. makes me want to trade down & pick up at least a couple more guys in 2nd & 3rd. Cherry picking players you have targeted - a draft of Crick/Moore/O'Dowd/Wright/Jones/Morgan/Solomon/Rogers would be a haul

SIAB, I'm very proud of your improved spelling.
Your mock is a good one. Personally I have the secondary as priority #1. S, then LB rated as a bigger need than DT. I hope that the big DT (Franklin) will be a vet. that's signed in FA. Then maybe draft a project DT later. |

Your spelling has improved alot and your mocks are getting better. I only see a few problems. Ras-I Dowling is not a 1st round prospect regardless of what the sites say, he's been injured almost all season and wasn't that great last year when healthy. He's another guy that I think will be a better FS in the NFL than CB. Kristofer O'Dowd won't last til the 3rd or 4th round, most likely a mid to late 2nd rounder.
Question: Are you doing your mocks trying to predict what the Texans will do, or what you'd do if you were the GM? If your trying to predict what Kubiak will do then you need to select a couple TE's and at least one Colorado St. player, it's easiest/best to just pick the players you'd select if you were the GM. Try to narrow your selection to only one player per round, players you'd select if you were GM, and let's see your next mock. They're getting much better. |

Please not Jared Crick. As a Huskers fan he is WAY overvalued because of last year with Suh beside him.
I'm not sure he is even the most disuptive Husker lineman. I think he has value in the draft but not till the 3rd or 4th rounds.

I have been disappointed with Crick. I thought he would have a great year and he really hasn't. How awesome would it be if he were drafted by the Lions?!

I'll just be glad to have him drafted. The Nebraska defense should provide a handful of pros, they are real good.

That's what I was thinking. I think I could be a dominant DT if I had Suh next to me.
