While I rarely acknowledge any events that transpired between August 2005 and January 2006, I think now is a good time to look back at that season.
Specifically...because I seriously wondered which season I preferred to watch. These past three weeks have been horrible. I honestly don't know why I keep watching. Maybe its just the delirium most college students get this time of year, but I want to see what others think. |

I recall the Texans won the so-called 'Bush Bowl' against the 49ers, I think... But they went on to win a few more games that year and we wound up with the #1 pick. Funny thing is, knowing what we know now, I doubt there would have been much change in the draft if they had the 3rd pick overall. I don't think the Titans or the Saints would have picked anyone else in those first picks.

The only way things would have been different is if we would have selected Bush #1. In that scenerio the Saints were ready to select Mario at #2.

If we want to play that game, we can pretend we took Leinart #3 and signed Mario as a free agent after he went bust with the Cardinals.

a good offense is more fun to watch. That's the major difference between Capers and Kubiak.

We have already won twice as many games as we did in 05, sorry no comparison.
That season was just awful. |

The only reasons I can think of for Gary to get an extra year, & not Capers, is because we actually have some accomplishments, only one losing season, and several players considered best in the league among their peers (i.e. probowlers). Gary's done a much better job than Capers.
