Took the lowly Bengals to the playoffs twice without having scouts or a GM because the Brown family is uber-cheap and sucky. His contract expires after this season. He won't likely cost anywhere near the ballpark that the Chin or Chucky would cost. His players actually like playing for him. Isn't afraid to take chances on players he feels can help his team. Defensive minded coach that could only help guys like Mario, Cushing, Ryans, and our swiss cheese secondary realize their potential.
Oh yeah...coached under: * Bill Cowher, Pittsburgh Steelers (1992–1995) * Ted Marchibroda, Baltimore Ravens (1996–1998) * Brian Billick, Baltimore Ravens (1999–2001) * Steve Spurrier, Washington Redskins (hahaha...had to throw that one in) Discuss.

Led the league in police blotter entries.

He wouldn't have to worry about felons here. The Texans never take chances on questionable characters even if they could help them win. Texans would rather lose with choir boys.

I think Coach Lewis could bring some questionable character in. It would be helpful...if someone isn't playing to their ability, let the shady guy shank them with a sharpened up toothbrush. It would do wonders for those players who are just collecting paychecks. Nobody wants to spend their money on emergency surgery.

After the backup QB Aggie and his undefensive coordinator, we should be ready to accept anything.

Travis Johnson and Jerome Mathis both had incidents in college and were drafted by the Texans. Some would add Cushing to the list.

I think he's saying we won't accept a good head coach.

Bilick HC
Lewis DC Good enough for the Ravens SB win. Major upgrade for what the Texans currently have. |

His win loss record mirrors Kubiak's and he is under .500. Not sure how that is such a good coach nor do I see the basis for saying the Texans or Houston won't accept a good HC.

If we would target Lewis, we might as well go after Team Green as well.
Denny Green that is! The Texans are set perfectly for him Terrible defense? Check Best WR in the game? Check Mediocre and injury-prone QB that looks good solely because he throws to the best WR in the game? Check Great RB that is horribly used? Check Matt Lienart sitting on the bench? Check Neil Rackers? Check Asses in dire need of crowning? Check! It’s all coming together.

We made an offer to Benson. Cincy got him with a starting position.

Kubiak, with nowhere near the same resources and support.

But in any event, I didn't come in here to attack Lewis. I asked a question to a poster who laughed at the idea of him being accepted in Houston. He's too good doesn't cut it as an answer.

And why couldn't we tell Cedric that he could start? Was Chris Brown too good to bench?

It was when we thought Slaton was going to be a lead back.

The point is that our defense has a bunch of guys that should be horses and they're looking like Shetland ponies. A legit defensive minded coach could turn that around.
