If Schaub had Vick's arm strength...

Watching Vick air it out to Desean Jackson the first play on MNF made me realize just how ridiculous his arm strength is in comparison to the rest of the NFL QBs.

AJ's 60 yarder he had to slow down at around 45-50 yards of air.... Desean Jackson caught it in full stride after about 65 yards of air time. Imagine if AJ didn't have to slow down when we bombed it deep!!!

I think he has now. He has worked really hard at the mental aspects of his game to know be the 'complete' QB.

Vince Young has led most of the year in that regard. Vick and Young rank 27th and 34th in attempts per game to put things into perspective.

Vick has only played in 6 games so far this season.
In one of those, he came in after the game was well on its way due to Kolb injury. He didn't start

In another he was injured early and missed most of the game.

In games he has played 100% of the snaps, he averages 30.5 attempts per game. He would fall middle of the pack

Phillip Rivers QB rating is much more impressive at 102.9 averaging 37 passes per game. I'm not suggesting Vick isn't having a great season, I'm suggesting that QB ratings can be misleading (again, see the VY reference).

Fair enough. Im mostly just impressed that Vick is posting a 62+% completion percentage and has thrown zero interceptions all year

I'll even admit that all of the things I used to criticize him of earlier in his career, are non-exsitent right now. He's making smart decisions with the ball, his accuracy is money, arm strenght is still well above average. He's also really poised in the pocket as opposed to the days when he would automatically tuck and run.

Stats aside, Vick and the Eagles offense were unstoppable. I'm not a fan of Vick the person, but damn, Vick the player has been impressive. 28 points and 270+ yards in the 1st quarter is just sick.

In ten years, teams won't be looking for the next Peyton Manning.
They'll be scouting for the next Michael Vick.

Vick had all the physical tools, and none of the mental ones. Until now.

Teams have already been scouting for the next Vick, which is why Young, Tavaris Jackson, etc got drafted so high.

Yes, but Rivers has already played us so his numbers are inflated.
I'm sure Vick's will jump quite a few points after the Thursday nighter.
