I think this game finally pushed me into the soap crowd but I'm not sporting it until there us a black soap (have already put in this request).
The reason that this game re-pissed me off about the MNF panty soiling is that Arian was destroying the Chargers on the ground. He was also doing this against the Colts and Kubie-Kubes-Kubeapoo starts throwing it all over the yard. ![]() But, just like the MNF game, Kubeapoo stops running at juuuuuuust the wrong times. Same ole song and effing dance. (though we did run more this game) Also, just like last week......the Texans managed to let total no-namers on a injury depleted team beat us. At home this time ![]() 1st some cat named Tamme or something then Ajiritoutou (spelling and no I don't care to check) ![]() All together now class....FAIL

Pretty upsetting, that's for sure. I figured we had this one. Especially the way Foster was racking up the yards. I see him following Earl Campbell's footsteps. One hell of an athlete on a team that finds ways to lose.

My Macbook Pro laptop is in the shop, getting a new DVD drive.
So I can't make black soap, though this would be a challenge since the background of that image (the soap dish, etc.) is already a black color. I'd have to really do some work on the soap to get it to have an outer-edge "glow" and then the lettering on the Fire Kubiak Club to stand out, as well. Not even sure it is feasible to do so.

I thought Black may be undoable. If so for sure, let me know and I'll probably pick another color.
I think the Texans are back to their same status they used to be where other teams see us on the schedule and pencil us in as a win at this point. , , ,

Kubiak called a great game offensively. I dont get why people are upset about it.
We had a TD overturned that Foster should have been smarter about JJ and AJ played hot potatoe We had an intentional grounding call destroy a drive We missed a QB sneak that Schaub converts >90% of the time This loss is on the defense. We can't give up 30 points a game and then say "we should have scored more"

I thought the same thing.
I noticed that we had Ward in at RB on a failed 3rd down call, or maybe it was the failed 4th down call, and Foster sat on the bench and slung something and yelled in disgust. If were a betting man, I would bet that he was mad he wasn't in on that play. Foster was kept out on crucial plays in the 2nd half, and I don't want to hear that he had been in on the previous two plays and needed a rest. He played 3 games last year and this is his true "first year" so he isn't worn down yet. He could have ran another 2 yards right there. The continuing "cuteness" of personnel decision-making, during crucial times of the game, is utterly fascinating and depressing all at once. The two hurry-up QB sneaks were telegraphed. Completely. There's only three spots for Schaub to go on thoat call: Right behind center, or over left guard, or over right guard. All the Chargers had to do is jam the area right there...and that's what they ended up doing. These guys are paid millions of dollars, these coaches are, and THAT is what they call (TWICE!!!!)???????????? LOL. Man, I have to say that those two hurry-up Qb sneaks, the FAILED sneaks, is the nail in the coffin. It should be the nail for those who were ont he fence before today. If you can't see utter incompetence right there, then I don't know what to say that could convince someone that Kubiak is a VERY BAD pressure situation decision-maker. Yeah, he might get some of those to pan out, but the vast majority do NOT. The majority of his crucial, pressure-cooker decisions are sniffed out and stuffed before the ball is even snapped. Especially when your QB is hurrying people to the line, and Schaubby is already leaning in very far over the center and telegraphing his intentions. Duh! What a shocker that it didn't work. Both times. And there was not ONE single screen pass thrown today. Not one. No slants were thrown. No curls. And no WR screen passes to AJ. Re-review the tape and tell me where any of those high-percentage pass plays were used. Four different types of high-percentage pass plays were not used. At all. Everything was down the field, long-developing pass plays or smoe sort of "go" route. This bunch of coaches are arrogant and ignorant all at once.

One sneak was on the 4th and 1 play in the 4th after the intentional grounding call.
When was the other?

At the point in the game where the Texans took a 23-14 LEAD, which was 9 minutes to go in the 3rd, they had run the ball 28 times for 135 yards, a very respectable 4.8 per carry. For the last 24 minutes of the game, they ran the ball just 6 more times (QB sneak was one) for 5 yards and saw a 9 point lead morph into a 6 point loss.
Why do you go away from what got you a 9 point lead? Granted, some San Diego goofs helped, but still. Is there something in Schaub's contract where he has to have a certain amount of pass attempts per game? I'm not a fire the coach type guy unless you're in a situation like '05, but these last 2 losses are squarely on Kubiak. It's hard enough to win in this league without the moronic coaching decisions.

im totally was not a fire kubiak kinda guy until the last 3 games ive seen from him....ive seen the avatar u guys put up...laughed about it...and thought it was clever....but never actually thought about using it as my avavtar till yesterday
this guy clearly is a nice guy.......a good coach...just not a good head coach...thats all.......kubiak is a offensive coordinator and will get a coordiantor job before his feet hit the ground on kirby when he gets canned here. book it.......but hes just a glorified coordinator masquerading as a head coach... and this is no knee jerk....hes done all he can do here and has done a great job at assembling some talent.......he just cannot motivate these guys for some reason......we are at the halfway point in the season and this team still cant play 2 halves of football balls to the wall.......we need somebody who can get them prepared to play from day 1.....that guy is obvioulsly not kubes.... what was he thinkin when we had almost 5 minutes left in the game and hes running the hurry up offense with no huddle.......and no runs plays to arian......i bout threw my beer at my flat screen.....what was that all about???? there was no need to rush and score and give phillip rivers the ball back.....we needed a long drive to kill some time and he ran a hurry up, abandons the run, and starts throwing exclusively like its 1:30 left on the clock ![]() at that point my friends......my new avatar was chosen.....read it and weap.....

Kubiak is a players' coach.
I saw a soundbite from some great player recently who, when asked what really motivates players, said several things, but one of the answers was, "Well, some of it's fear..." Kubiak does NOT instill fear in any of these guys. Nobody is afraid to go out there and lolligag around. Nobody is afraid to put out a half effort. Nobody is afraid that the next time they screw up they will ride the pine for the rest of the season, or at least a game or two. Eugene Wilson is not nearly worried enough about what's going to happen the next time there is a 40 yd. bomb for a TD because he didn't help the CB deep. Okoye is not nearly worried enough about what another game without enough pressure up the middle will do to his career.

As the 2nd half rolled by, you could see it. You could sense we were getting away from running the ball.
I mean, everyone here who has been in on the conversations over this season so far can sense it happening. Anytime we get momentum, we go and abandon what gave us the momentum. As if we are going to try and outsmart the defense and do what they don't expect us to do. Or as if we're going to show them that NOW we will beat with you the opposite of what we were beating you with. Both instances are prideful, arrogant coaching pihlosophy. Nobody intentionally tries to go about things differently if what you're doing is working wonderfully. Save that stuff for the preseason. THIS is your 16 game schedule, Gary. Well, now it's only an 8-game schedule, Gary. It absolutely defies logic to do what this team has been doing. The Cowboys, as well, are being weighed down by incompetent coaching. Our 4-4 is really no better than their record. Let's be honest about that, please. Technically, for you literal people out there, YES it is better. But stylistically, it's the same. Both teams suck. Both teams have pretty darn good talent on their teams. But the common factor is the incompetent coaching. What the coaches are doing is not matching up with what the players know will work. Period. And that's when teams crater. And this Texans team, IMO, will lose the next game vs. Jacksonville. We'll get obliterated because the Garrard funk is over. He's back. And they still have MJD. And if you thought some scrubs from the Chargers were breaking Texans' players' arm tackles, wait until you see MJD run over our guys next week. And it will be the JAGS game next week, the loss, that will send the players into full ZOMBIE mode. Bank on it. They havent' hit bottom yet. The bottom comes next Sunday. Trust me on this. I predicted the Chargers loss, and not even our good 1st half swayed me from my prediction. In fact, last week I told you guys that the next two games (Chargers and Jags) would be the two games that make or break this team. We already lost one of those two games. The next one will be another loss, and it will send the players into intense "I don't give a crap." Because those players will understand that all their hard work and all their Sunday efforts from here on out is being wasted on a failure of a coach. Therefore, they will send a signal to ownership that Kubiak has got to go. The mob mentality will win out. Some of the guys, people like David Anderson and Matt Schaub and Dreesen, will be devastated by it. The remainder will be very satisfied because they have no loyalty to anything but COMPETENCE at the level of head coach. Sit back and watch. It's going to get UGLY very fast.

Our last 6 rush attempts went for 7 yards. We got away from the run because it was going nowhere and we were running out of time.
