The Longhorns are in meltdown mode, Showtime. Enjoy it while you can, because they will be back into full form soon enough. Then you will have cause to go back into your Texas Longhorns grumpy mode.

Everyone's talking about the offense & what it's not doing but what about that defense..terrible. & this was supposed to be the strength of the team? not so much. The bloom came off that Will Muschamp rose pretty quick.

Why in the heck would you allow your QB to throw 82 times?!?!?! Oh, I forgot UT doesn't have a run game and has the worst OC in college football.

82 pass attempts?!? That's about what a starting pitcher throws in the MLB! And they only throw a small ball without having to run around... Very poor playcalling and coaching indeed.

Can't say I feel bad though. UT had a good decade or so of being ranked, getting top recruits, magic QBs and going to fancy bowl games that don't end in ".com". Just like Florida they gotta go back to the bottom for a while. A&M on the other hand has become relevant to the football world for the first time in 5 years, so I'm happy about that. Might need to buy some tickets to that game

Looked like they had a run game to me. Fozzy Whitaker was an absolute BEAST in the 1st quarter.

Can't argue with the worst OC in college football. This game was just another example of his ineptitude. He is an id10t for abandoning the run after the 1st quarter.

Looks to me like he's using Kubiak's playbook.

Anywho, maybe THERE will be some changes made, i.e. Greg Davis' sorry ass needs to go. Even WM is not safe, what the hell happened to the defense?

On a side note, I think I'll see about getting season tickets next year (assuming I find a job and get past the financially tough year). It will be a good time to buy low, lots of people will hop off the bandwagon.

I used to be a much bigger fan of the Horns, but all this VY man love crap has kinda soured me on them. Is that wrong? Guess I wasn't that big of a fan of them in the first place. Need to find me a new team, mmm, them Oregon Duck jerseys are kinda cool.....

The VY fanboys haven't set well with me either however I was a Longhorn fan long before I was a fan of anything else. If I stopped being a fan of anything related it would be college football in general. The system is a complete joke and I have been saying that for years, even after the Horns won the NC.

BTW, which Oregon uniform do you like? They have a different one every week. I haven't seen a nice looking one yet.

I just hope that this season will open up the eyes of the Mack Brown supporters to what a total soft grandpa he is as a HC and always has been. He's been able to stack all these 10 win seasons due to his great recruiting where his talent level could still win over other teams inferior talent despite his terrible coaching along with GD's awful play calling. VY and Colt McCoy were able to run the ball a lot when plays would break down and they carried these teams other than last season when Will Muschamp's defense carried this team.

There is nothing wrong with Will Muschamp though. you can't expect his defense to be a great defense when his unit is working with a short field all the time and the offense can;t ever stay on the field. The lack of momentum and constant TO's makes the entire team lose momentum, and it's worn on the Longhorns defense.

The problem with this team is Mack Brown. People forget about how dumb this guy has been year after year just because of his record, but Mack's about as clueless as any coach I've ever seen. The Longhorns almost lost to Nebraska last season in the Big 12 championship all because Mack couldn't manage the game at the end and almost cost his team a chance to kick a FG. They luckily were able to kick it with one second left, but I couldn't believe how close they were to not even being able to kick the ball at all. It's things like that which are inexcusable for any coach. Mack looked like a middle school coach in that game, and it was out of all luck that their kicker was able to kick that ball from the far distance that he did with all of that pressure on him. Mack is soft. He always has been. Great recruiter but a terrible HC.
