Why? The defense has looked much improved. Manning had to chuck it 45 times to get over 250. They're not great, but this isn't week 2 anymore.

When you beat at team as badly as they beat us, you don't need to throw the ball much. Also, most of thier good players were on the sidelines injured.

Throwing it 45 times is a lot. The Chargers are down to their 3rd and 4th string receivers and TEs as well.
