At this point, im very happy we didnt give him a huge contract. Last night, the guy played just awful. I understand he is a liability in coverage (im okay with that) but his tackling has been subpar all this season.
Just venting.... |

He's been awful all season. This is why I never jumped on his bandwagon. At this point, to me, he's not much different than Demps when he had his few good games. Everyone jump on and rode that wave......until he was cut.
The dude can't cover due to making incorrect reads and he attempts the knock out tackle....which he misses half the time. Eugene Wilson completely outplayed him. What does that say?

On a night when KJax and Wilson actually showed up, Pollard managed to make our secondary look just as bad as usual

I mean he was just sitting flat footed waiting for the TE to make his break full speed, he was beaten before the TE even made the cut, I can't believe someone in the NFL is THIS bad at coverage..

I am like Pollards feistyness, but enough yapping. Start playing well. He is a liability in coverage. I am also glad we didn't give him a big contract.

Yeah, I don't understand how anyone in their right mind let's a receiver PAST THEM...like, he made no attempt to keep Tamme in front of him. None whatsoever, none. In the endzone no less. You let that guy get behind you when he's enough of an idoit to run out the back of the endzone. It's like the coaching staff hasn't said one time hey, keep your man in front of you. Jesus christ the least you could do is stand in the way and let him trample you so it slows him down and doesn't look SO G D EASY FOR A NO NAME SUCKA TO BURN YOU LIKE THE SUN WOULD BURN A SQUIRREL IF FOR SOME REASON A SQUIRREL WAS ZOOMING THROUGH SPACE TOWARDS THE SUN...

Anyways, Pollard REALLY needs to step his game up. His coverage skills are not even mediocre at best. It is abominable, atrocious, deplorable and [insert any other negative word here]. Watching him attempt to "cover" a receiver makes you want to gouge your eyes out.

Pollard is what he is, he will never be any good in coverage and he never has. This is why KC let him go, not the b/c he didnt get along with the staff...he didnt fit in their new scheme. We don't have the coaching to correct his short comings in coverage. Last year we needed help in run support and he came in and sparked while making a couple INTs...however this is the NFL, you have to constantly work on your game and teams know he is weak in coverage (like most of our D) and exploit it. If you surround him with better secondary members maybe he's not that much of a liability, but we don't have that luxury right now. Now if his tackling starts to demise, then it gets worse.
