I wasn't trying to chastise you, bro'. And I certainly wasn't calling you out as a father or husband. On the contrary, from what I've read, I think you're probably great in both areas.

And that being said, I'm sure that your wife and children want you around for a long, long time. But, it's a free country, so you are obviously free to do as you please.

Now you're saying I shouldn't post stuff that actually impacts me and what's being discussed in this thread? Whatever. I know where I'm posting and i know what i'm saying. I'm probably letting this annoy me a bit too much but there has been a little bit too much of judging going in this thread with the whole issue of motorcycles and anal probing.

Allowing a doctor to probe me is obviously an extremely difficult thing for me and many other men to handle. I just don't get why my kids and wife get thrown into the mix. Of course they want me to live. Hell... I want to live. I just can't get past it so this whole "dangling my family in my face" thing kinda irks me. This is a very real problem. It shouldn't make me feel any less of a father or a man to my family because I struggle with it. I understand it can be a choice but it sure doesn't seem like a choice to me because I can't do it. If I don't let the wife get down dirty back there then I'm most certainly not going to let a strange person do it.

For the sake of my life... I am counting the days until they come up with more advanced screening devices and find another entryway. Especially for my prostate. Cut me open if need be but stay away from my rim.

FYI - You can get a PSA test as part of annual blood work (that's what I do). The doctor can forgo going "uptown" if the numbers are normal.

I'm going to lose my mother pretty soon because she wouldn't go to the doctor. She treated a cancerous growth with Neosporin for over a year.....sad.

When I said I wasn't looking for any advice... I should have said I wasn't looking for somebody to tell me to think of my family. They are ALWAYS the first thing I think of in ANYTHING I do. Duh.

If I sound mad, I'm not. I just didn't like it much. Ima good father and person and family man. I do the best I can and know how but I am the furthest thing from perfect.

Sorry I said anything, dude. I thought we were friends enough to offer a little advice, like I would do for any friend. That's what I get for thinking and assuming, especially in a thread about a 33 year old dude suffering a heart attack. I will keep that in mind for future reference.

How about I don't give a rat's ass what you do. Does that make you feel better? It was not meant to push your rather sensitive button(s) that I didn't even know existed. I regret even bothering at this point.

I don't like doctors, getting checked up, hate needles, but I do it. But, that's just me, and many folks have offered advice to me in spite of my dislikes and I took it in stride without getting my panties in a wad. I knew the advice was given BECAUSE THEY GAVE A **** ABOUT ME.

Do whatever you want. I'm done talking about it. No hard feelings (from me, at least), but whatever.

Actually the screenings aren't that bad. I even had an issue where I had to have a colonoscopy to make sure nothing serious was going on. The procedure wasn't bad at all because you are pretty much out of it. The hardest part was the cleansing the night before.

BTW, I ride too and have been for years. I don't ride crotch rockets though. I have a Hog and am very aware of how dangerous it is out there. It's bad enough out there when you are a responsible rider because you obviously can't control the morons around you. However those guys that go flying by doing over 100 plus weaving in and out of traffic are just asking to eat a bumper or worse. I have no respect for them.

Yeah, I thought you guys were arch rivaled enemies man. That's pretty nice to hear though. Sparrow was annoying at times, but other times he made me laugh and I always giggled some times when he got under certain fans skins in here.

He was really light-hearted, so he laughed as some of us would get really upset with him. He and I had an issue that got pretty ugly at one point, though. The whole Trent Green v. Travis Johnson incident. I mean that got really ugly......... but we chatted behind the scenes and worked out our differences - as we should... It was all good after that. Well, not really.
