Tailgate Passes, Call to Front Office & More. - Houston Texans Message Board & Forum

So I called the Texans ticket office yesterday and the convo went a lil something like this.....hi, we have 4 PSL tix that eight guys share..alternating games and tailgating. Martha Anne replies oh, we still have a FEW tailgating passes that are available. To which i replied, how is that possible when you only had 2000 tailgating passes for sale? She says i know i cant believe we still have some...so then i say you know there are a ton of passes available on Craigslist and Ebay and she says oh, be careful alot of those can be fake. I again reiterated so with all those passes that are in the broker market and all that have been purchased by season ticket holders, your telling me you are still under the 2000 mark for the games? Yes sir.. i said i have a very hard time believing that. Now my 2 cents. We went ahead and purchased four Tailgating passes for the remaining games, but I'll tell you what, we'll see how many tailgaters will be out after game time, guaranteed it will be more than 2000. Hell it will most likely be 4 to 5000 in which case that adds up to a MONEY GRAB by the Texans. I also asked her about the parking passes and how they are sold, she said ONLY psl and season ticket holders can purchase parking passes.....but i know for a fact there are psl/season tix holders purchasing up to 30 passes PER GAME. You know they are selling those for profit. What did you expect TEXANS? What about the corporate tents, are those going to be shut down after the game starts b/c they only sold 2000 tailgating passes? It sounds and looks like different rules depending on your corporate status.

One last story for your reading pleasure.....GOD help you if you happen to tailgate next to the band LA FAMILIA's tailgate, apparently they like to throw the mother of all parties and when one of the next door tailgaters complained about the cussing, vomiting and out of control partying they were removed to another slot.....La Familia and their 60+ group figured out who complained about them, they waited for the right time and someone screamed a code red, and that family was attacked by more mexicans than a border crossing at 1am Rio Grande. No one was left off the list, women, children ,grandmothers, young boys were all attacked. Then about the time security showed up CODE BLUE they all dispersed. it goes without saying, that family is done tailgating. Houston is a cess pool and La Familia can LA DIE IN HELL.

It's just a matter of time before all the tailgating is over with.....H-Town is too much of a cess pool of trash..

Firstly, FALSE. Outside of corporate sponsors season ticket holders are limited on how many passes they can buy.

Secondly, do you live in Dallas or just a Cowboys fan?

And they probably buy 20+ tickets as well.

Nothing wrong with buying tickets and parking passes and selling for profit. It's Capitalism 101.
However, it will be a lot harder to sell just the parking pass to someone who wants to invite 30 of their friends to party if he doesn't manage to get 30 tailgating passes as well.

Now if Joe Fan buys 20 parking passes on Ebay, there's not much the Texans can do about that.

Who said it was 4? I was actually insinuating 1....the point is, after game time starts do you seriously think there will only be 2000 tailgaters out in the parking lot?????? I didn't think so. Are the Texans in it for a money grab and crowd control? I think yes.

I may be misreading this, but I think your implying you have to buy a pass to tailgate, is that right? If so, your wrong on that, if you have a ticket to the game already or a parking pass your good to go for tailgating.

Actually he is saying that once all the ticket holders go in the building for gametime do you really think there will only be 2K left in the parking lot tailgating.

Probably not this week as people test to see how strict they will be. But by the end of the season, they probably won't have many stragglers without passes.

Your wrong on the last part per the Houston Texans when we called them on Monday. Having a parking pass does NOT entitle you to tailgate. Its just lets you in the lot to tailgate if and only IF you have a game day ticket or a tailgating guest pass.

Even if they were selling more than 2000+ tailgaiting passes so what, they are selling them to PSL holders that they can then track and remove your PSL if you continue to be a problem in the parking lot..

When 100k+ people are still out in the parking lot during the game continuing to drink and cause problems it's only a matter of time before something serious happens.

Tailgating is for before the game, If you just want to watch the game do it at home. This will all work out and it is the non ticket holders that will suffer Too Bad So Sad. Man Up and buy a game ticket freeloader. As for the knucklehead who started this thread the sky is falling.
