First, the good:
1. The Colts are vulnerable. After the loss to JAX today, our team sits all alone atop the AFC South. 2. Arian Foster is awesome. He is the real deal. Not so good: 1.) Every QB we've faced so far is ALL Pro. Please don't make us face a 3rd string QB from Harvard is my only plea to the football gods. 2.) Zach Miller, Roy Williams, and Santana Moss should all be in the Pro Bowl, because the alternative kind of sucks, right?

1. Arian Foster is legit. Derrick Ward is a solid backup. Slaton is servicable. A 3 headed monster is better than a 2 headed one.
2. Our secondary still needs work, but I like our chances better with Nolan. 3. 3-1 without Cushing. We couldn't have hoped for much more coming into the season. 4. Jacksonville will be no walk in the park either. If we can win our home division games this year and steal one from the Titans or Jags, I think we can finish atop the AFC South . |

Arian Foster should have played sooner last season.
QBs playing the Texans should start on your fantasy team. I miss Brian Cushing when he's not around.

For a team that practices against a play-action offense everyday in practice we sure suck against it.

The most important thing I´ve learned:
Last year we`ve found ways to lose games (missed FGs, turnovers, no run game) - this year we are finding ways to win games (made FGs, take the ball away from opponents, run the ball at the end of the game). There seems to be another mentality - they are no longer afraid to lose a game, they are playing like they refuse to lose, and doing everything they have to to win it. |

1.) when cushing comes back, we will most definitely be a better pass defense. Our lb's have been repeatedly picked on & cushing should help curtail that a bit.
2.) Earl Mitchell needs to get more of Okoye's snaps. The guy flat out makes plays. 3.) Jacoby needs a new pair of cleats...the guy is always slipping & sliding all over the damn field... 4.) All talk about what Mario isn't doing or needs to be doing just needs to cease. The guy is just a beast. |

I've just learned that the Texans can pull out a win with--get this--a running game, a pass rush and next to nothing else. Who is this team and what did they do to the Texan squad we've come to know?

If Sheppard is actually the better of the two, Amobi is right behind him as the second best DT on the team. I'd like to see more of them on the field at the same time. I like Cody as well, but he's definitely behind Amobi & Mitchell in my book.

I've learned Frank Bush isn't afraid to employ 3-4 base looks and I'd bet you all we see a great deal of it next week with Cushing back. He and Mario as rush backers.

I've learned that now matter how mad, scared and pissed off I get at the Texans during a game, there's always a chance they can pull a win out of their ass somehow.
And that's a HELL of a lot different from last year.

I've learned that no matter what the Texans record certain Texanstalk members are going to find something to be negative nancys about.

I have learned that no matter what happens on the field, or how well the Texans do, there will be a lot of people that see only gloom & doom. We cannot enjoy being 3-1 for thee first time. We cannot enjoy being in sole possession of first place in the division. Until the Texans achieve perfection in all aspects, there will be those that want to rain on my parade.
I have learned that I should really stay away from this board on gameday. I have learned that some fans are not fans at all because they do not have season tickets. I have learned that there are numerous season ticket holders that are not fans at all because they sell their tickets to the opposing teams fans. I have learned that there are serious difficulties in the parking lot when this team is going good. But, I already knew the cowgurls suck!!!...

Not going to point any fingers, but the types I'm talking about are the ones that say every Texans win was either against a bad team, a team playing down to us, or blind luck. Of course every loss is the Texans showing their true colors as the worst football team EVER.
