Who in football do you guys think have a better wide reciever corps then the texans? After watching this last preseason game, I started thinking about it and I could'nt think of anyone. We have recievers for everything. We even have a baby andre in training. (dickerson). (So excited about his potential)
Also, when did we pick up fine? was he practice squad? |

Andre Davis will be cut. He makes too much money and has no roll on this team.

Dorin Dickerson is the truth. He may or may not break out this year, but I expect great things from him very soon. He has a great skill set and I'm surprised he lasted until the seventh round. Steal of the draft? We'll see, but it's looking likely.
You have AJ, Walter, Jones, Dickerson, Davis, and Anderson along with the TEs (Daniels, Casey, and Graham), and the Texans have a ton of weapons. If only Tate hadn't gotten injured. Our running back group would be pretty strong. |

Kube's post game comments didn't seem that great for some reason. I thought the kid did great, FWIW. You think he'd clear waivers to be put on the practice squad of they opted to go that route? I think it'd be an iffy thing. He seems like he has a lot of raw potential though, so I'd love to keep him around and see how he developes.

I doubt we see Dickerson on the practice squad. He'd be snatched up qiuck by another team.

WOW!! yeah just a little too much time. But great info! Seeing that list, I think the 2 teams that come close are the bengles and the vikings. I would take the vikings over the bengels. But as much talent both teams have, they don't have a Andre Johnson. Chad whatever the hell his last name is, is more like a jacoby jones (atlease I think so) Looking over that list, I still would pick our's over any other team. Especially if dickerson comes into his own over the next couple of years, that would be insane if he could be 80% of what Andre Johnson is.

Haha, well I had too much time on my hands a couple weeks ago. Had this same talk elsewhere about who has the best WR group in the league.

I say Saints Cardinals, then Texans for overall WR corps. Not that I wouldn't be happy with any of those three.
Vikings and Chargers might be up there if not for their current issues.

Too bad the Cardinals WRs don't have a QB to throw to them. Derek Anderson, John Skelton anyone? Expecting a dropoff from Fitzgerald this year. 1. Whisenhunt/Grimm want to go to the old Steelers grind-it-out type football, and 2. see above. No QB

Cardinals? Larry Fitz and Breaston, but everyone else is crap. I can see the saints, but I think thats more Bree's making the WR's look great. Just like payton making Garcon and collie look good even though i think they would suffer with anyone else. Andre Johnson would make any quarter back look good. I.E. how Randy Moss made Culpepper look good. But i think our recievers could play on any team and have success.
What kind of trade or draft pick could we get for jacoby?? not saying that I want to lose him, just trying to make an example. And he is our 3rd wr. |

Fine is our freaking LONG SNAPPER. He's supposed to be a crap tight end. He was drafted in the 4th round by the Bills in 2008. Was let go and was with the Rams in 2009. We signed him this off-season to be our long snapper in camp.
Personally, I thought he would definitely be cut and we'd let Dreessen long snap. But, damn, that guy's got some hands. With OD, Dreessen, Casey, Graham and FINE... that's the TE corps from freaking hell. EDIT: I've got Fine's history wrong. He was signed off waivers by the Rams in February and then released less than a month later. |

He was placed on IR in 09 and released after the season. The Rams claimed then released him before he signed with the Texans on June 16 , 2010. He had some good moments against the Buc's but I cant see him sticking on this roster which is so loaded at the position. OD, Dreesen , Casey and Graham (Anthony Hill is on the Pup list). He will likely catch on somewhere .... Wonder if he is elegible for the PS ?

I don't think there's any way they try to put Graham on the PS. (Of course, I've been wrong about that stuff before. )
