Why is it that people wear ANY jersey to a game and think it is cool? At least wear a jersey for ONE of the teams actually playing or don't wear one at all!

I guess it depends on where you grew up. I'm in the Golden Triangle, when it's play-off time for high-school football, we generally go to many if not all the play-off games for the schools in our area, and we represent. It's not odd to see PNG Indian colors at a Nederland Bulldog game, or Memorial colors at an Indian's game. It's just the way we roll, showing support for our area teams.

I wore my Barry Sanders jersey everywhere I went when I was growing up. I didn't like the Lions. I wasn't a fan of Barry Sanders. You know why I wore it? It was the only jersey I ever owned growing up and my mom could only afford it because we snagged it at a thrift store. I appreciated and loved that jersey so much and still have it today.

I agree with you Nitro and there is nothing wrong with any fan wearing any jersey to any game. I'm a NFL fan first and then the Texans. I've gone to Carolina, Redskins and Falcons games and they weren't playing the Texans but I had my Texans Jersey on.

One of the WORST football experiences I have ever had was at the SB here in Houston. Being the HOST city I wore my Texan jersey with hometown pride!! After being screamed and cussed at by Pats fans I decided then that I would never do that again, and I haven't. I came real close to buying a Carolina shirt that night just to stop the onslaught of abuse. To me its disrespectful, and I certainly do NOT want to be like Cowboy and Titan fans who seem to think its COOL to show up at a Texan game with their suckass shirts on, when we are not playing them.

I got a Booty jersey just for the name. If he dosen't pan out for the Texans, or in the NFL, who cares? Anyway, I would never wear anyone's jersey that is like Robinson. Im waiting for Cushing to prove himself (which he will) again, before I get his jersey next.

I've gone to at least 20 venues, 5 when the Texans were playing, and with the exception of the Saints games, I've always worn a Texans jersey.

Wait, no, Panthers game I wore an Earl Campbell jersey to see how well I would blend in. All but one person were oblivious to the difference, and he happened to be an ex-Oiler fan.

Inverted snobs should not run your life. You and Ted are both amazing people. I know this after meeting the both of you several times but there's no reason to snub your nose at somebody for something they wear. It's just clothes and it certainly didn't have anything offensive on there. Worrying about the fact that somebody is wearing a Cowpatty jersey just is a poor reflection upon yourself. It's just a shirt. If they shout things at you then you got something but dayum... it's just a guy with a shirt passing you on by.

I respect you tremendously! I thought we were two adults talking to each other. I expressed my opinion too. Are you saying that I shouldn't have? I kinda feel that message boards were for not only expressing opinions but discussing them as well. I thought that's what we were doing?

Don't be mad at me, Sandy. I would be very very very sad if you were. We have several pictures of you in our family photo album along with many people from the blue crew. After re-reading the dialogue and recognizing that I was talking to two blue crew members... I want you to be clear on this... I am not specifically referring to blue crew. I'm referring to the bullpen in general. Maybe I should say lower bowl but I don't know anybody in the lower bowl other than InfantryCak. Just mostly bullpen people and you know why? It's because blue crew members brought me there. I sat with you guys in different places in the bullpen three times now so I've met MANY people from there as well as listening to various rants by claimed bullpen members on other sites.

I agree with you, TedC on the jersey issue, if you are a Raider fan coming to a Texan game, wear your Raider gear, don't be wearing a Philadelphia jersey if you are a Philly fan coming to a Texan versus Oakland game or whomever it may be, worse yet is someone wearing a college team jersey to a Texan game no matter the team. I tell you what else drives me crazy, is someone saying they are a fan of both the Texans and Cowboys.............yikes..........or some other team....choose one and stay with them.....I know who I am a fan of for life......the Houston Texans......

Nobody HAS to wear a jersey. You can wear any shirt and you are OK as long as it is not an Alabama jersey, or a Rams jersey.

I think in your scenario, I would wear a local hospital shirt, hoping they get a lot of business that night.
