In a normal NFL draft, DT.Malcolm Sheppard would be drafted around the 4th or 5th rd., all the draft gurus agree that this draft was so loaded at the DT. positition that many hidden gems would be found in the late rds. or go undrafted, look for Sheppards quickness off the ball to be noticed early and often against 2nd and 3rd teamers sat night, Sheppard comes from the brutal SEC and he is battle tested, remember, he had to be doubled-teamed by the likes of FLA,ALA,AUB,TEX,GA.TN.OLE MISS,every team he faced really, he's already up to 289 lbs. he'll be 295 easy come mid season, sat. night will prove a lot.

Coach definitely likes him. Be interesting to see how he and Earl Mitchell work into the line up and what they show on Saturday night.

It's a shame Frank Okam could only put ONE good preseason game
together since he's been here. I'll be watching for Sheppard and Big Earl Mitchell Saturday night. Also, I'm curious to see if Antwaun Molden is still the beast he was before the Titans shattered his ankle a couple years ago.

I've been watching Arkansas on the CBS College Sports channel every time one of their games are on just to see Sheppard. When a play is made at the line he was always in the middle of the scrum. I notice too that whatever DT or DE they played next to him would always be unblocked or one on one because Sheppard was getting doubled by the center and guard. How he got all those tackle for losses despite those double teams is very impressive.

From what I've read about Mitchell, it sounds like he would've been a 1st rounder any other year.

I agree also about Mitchell, didn't see him a lot in college but he's a force, anxious to see how they are used, would love to see Mitchell and Sheppard play together for at least a half, critics really need to give this coaching staff a lil credit, i also think the LB. from Miami, [SHARPTON] will be special.

Where did we get Sheppard from? Undrafted? I have never heard of him.

Kubiak has been mentioning him off an on for a while now, I think. And, more importantly, included him as one of the players he wanted to see something from in this game. Quote:

Sheppard is well known in the SEC, he's already played against the likes of B.TATE , A.CALDWELL, T.HOLLIDAY,and JACKSON, a 2-time all-SEC player, remember the FLA- ARK, game last yr. remember the fluke unsportmanlike conduct call against the D-lineman that leveled the FLA. off. lineman ,..that tried to get a cheap shot, well that was SHEPPARD as you know the refs were suspended for that call and many other bad calls that day, look it up.
