Default Jeff Garcia signs with Lions

does anyone think he will start over harrington? i think harrington will start week 1, and if he falters, jeff garcia will have his job for lunch. i think detroit is going to be a heck of a team next yr. their defense is underrated, and they will be getting charles rodgers back to go with roy williams and az-hakim. they have a great recieving core and kevin jones ran the ball tremendously for the lions the second half of the season.

i didn't like this movie, i thaught harrington deserved another shot this yr, and so far this theme of the offense has been young playmakers, why stick in a old guy who doesnt exactly mesh perfect with his team-mates?

garcia will bring consistency, something harrington is in need of
if the defense plays like it did last year and the offense maximizes its potential then they are definitley a playoff contender

The only reason Garcia was signed was because the wanted a veteran backup. Either that or the Lions want to pick high in the '06 draft.

lol ya they want Linear!

But really Garica is ALOT better than Harrington! Garica lead that Great 2nd half comeback against the Giants a few years ago. What has Harrington done? Been in David Carr's shadow? Thats about it. Rodgers hasnt done a thing (I think when Lions fan look back years from now Rodgers over Johnson there gonna be sorry!) If you wanna wait and see if Harrington has magical 4th year maybe if you want Linear maybe but if you wanna win in that WEAK WEAK NFC North you want Garica! Farve has his foot out the door! No Moss! The Bears are well the Bears common Detriot you can win that Divison!

Signing Garcia might actually help Harrington. Garcia has tons of experience in Mariucci's WCO, and he's had a lot of success in it. If he can help Harrington understand the offense better then you might see him start to improve and get comfortable in the starting role.

Maybe the Garcia signing will motivate Harrington to pull of a Brees.

Garcia won't even see the field.
Unless Joey gets injured.

Charles Rogers makes Joey look very very very good in training camp and in preseason it's allways the most exciting thing on the field. A shame Glass Man can't stop breaking his bones. But as long as Rogers plays, Joey looks great. And if Joey looks anything resembling good, the lions will stick with him.

Throw in a Healthy KJ and Roy, Garcia will be planted right behind Joey the entire season.

....errr wait that sounds wierd.
