I don't know how good it is. He is apparantly ver high on DRob, to have the Falcons ranked 7. And the Bengals defense the most physical in the AFC?

Actually, it doesn't. The Texans are 12th in this ranking, but the #7 AFC team (trailing the Bolts, Ravens, Colts, Bengals, Jets, and Pats). So according to these rankings, the Texans just miss out. Again.

Is it just me or has San Fran been in our shadow since we "beat" them for the #1 pick in '06. All in all I think they have us in the right spot. If we get 2 of our 1st 4, we're in business for the post season.

I'll never understand why people are ranking the Colts over the Saints but 12 is about where I put the Texans in my own fan ranking at NFL.com (thread in NFL forum).

Other than as a general feel for the direction of the team, these pre season rankings mean nothing at all. The general consensus that the Texans are improving but no one thinks they are ready to challenge the Colts yet is what I see in all these so called expert ranking lists. I think the Texans are ready to do just that, but will they? They were ready to sneak into the playoffs last year but didn’t. When the Texans finally step up and start beating good teams consistently is when we’ll know they are ready to challenge the Colts, but not until then. Of course if Manning retires anytime soon we could easily take the division. I do think we are a better team than either the Titans or Jags.

I think the top 5 on this list is really, really solid. I might not have it exactly like that, but definitely close.

For me, 1 2 and 3 are a toss up. I'd go

3. Colts
4. Packers
5. Ravens
6. Saints
7. Vikings
8. Patriots
9. Jets
10. Texans
11. Bengals
12. 49ers
13. Falcons
14. Dolphins
15. Redskins
16. Giants
17. Steelers

19. Eagles
20. Panthers

Well, maybe a couple of the AFC teams below them jump up. Then what?

Who really cares what Steve Wyche has to say in June? But, his ranking would not put the Texans into the playoffs. Fortunately, that means squat.

just another year for the organization with all the talent in the world but without the ability to win in the postseason. they are the reason i keep faith in the nfl. jackasses don't win. excluding those 3 rings the Pats won.

Funny you should say that because when I was thinking about our first game I kept getting this feeling that Manning is going to miss time after getting hurt in our game. There's just something creepy to the fact that we have to play them right out of the gate.
